For the slow here, I'll restate my position.
If you want to bear arms in public, be a vetted member of a well-regulated militia. Then you can be called up for national defense and security, as per the Constitution. A civilian has no other reason to bear arms in public. If you're not regulated and you carry in public, you should be shot down. If you carry anywhere near a school or church, you should be shot down. We don't let rogue dogs roam free. Rogue gunmen deserve no more consideration.
That's in public. What you do with your weapons in private is your own concern, as long as you responsibly keep them secured. That's a non-starter.
