Can you put a link in your own story?

You can put links to Literotica pages within a story, so you can put a link in the story to your author profile and have you author profile give the outside URL (it won't be a link).

You might be able to mention a site if it was clearly part of the story, e.g. people interacting on Facebook. But promoting another site within a story is a no-no.

Even fictitious websites/links are forbidden because they might someday be activated as actual sites.

Essentially, Lit forbids outside links because they have no control over those sites and the sites can (theoretically) change content on a whim.

Yep, but I was referring specifically to mentioning without links. As far as I know it's still okay to post something like "I met him on Facebook".

My last story mentioned Facebook several times and didn't have a problem.

I think you can say "I bought it on Amazon". But if you changed the story so that the word "Amazon" was a link to the item that was bought, then the story would get rejected.

They're done by Laurel, when she posts them. Technically I have no idea, but when she interlinks stories (e.g. my collaborative pieces) she does all of it.

I just have to ask nicely.

I was idly thinking about a story involving a fairly obscure haunting love song (not in the English language). It has been posted on YouTube, and would help the story significantly if readers could hear it being sung.

If such a link wasn't allowed I probably won't bother.

It won't be. No offsite links (even fake ones) are allowed.
