Is the bath/wine/sex/pizza combination the natural progression of things, or are you both masters of multitasking?

Yes, the bath, wine, sex, pizza was one after the other. Some combinations of those could work at the same time, though. Wine and sex, yep. Pizza and wine, sure. Bath and sex? Not usually that successful in my experience.

The sleeper train is very interesting. The beds go sideways on to the direction of travel, and the train leans slightly as it goes around bends, so you can find that the penetration is suddenly deeper, or less deep, as you go. And the whole 'romance' of the thing is very alluring.

They've just announced that the sleeper train from London to the Highlands of Scotland is going to get 'suites' later this year, with double beds and ensuites. Might have to give that a try.

(It further occurs to me that I should be making a list of this sort of stuff for Lakey for this coming autumn )

I'd love to see high speed rails and sleeper cars become much more common here because I hate flying on commercial cattle car aircraft. With me travels not about the speed in reaching the destination but more in having a relaxed, comfortable trip. Allowing for extra time for the trip isn't an issue. Hopefully a trip to GB to trace ancestral roots will be forthcoming.

As for the chest, I'm much better, It was more of an allergic reaction to some items I came into contact with. And as for that trailing finger....hmm...

I looked this up, just out of interest. Apparently "The word pizza was first documented in AD 997 in Gaeta and successively in different parts of Central and Southern Italy. Pizza was mainly eaten in the country of Italy and by emigrants from there. This changed after World War II, when Allied troops stationed in Italy came to enjoy pizza along with other Italian foods." That's from Wikipedia.

Actually, yes, I did have a dry January again. I do it most years to be fair. A little January detox makes me feel so much better after the indulgences of the party season. Plus, I'm a terrible sleeper and no alcohol at all really does have a positive effect on that!

Are you still in the land of pizza or does your trip across the continent see you stopping off in different countries?

Bath, wine, good book *happy sigh*. Or sometimes I listen to "The Archers" in the bath. It's surprisingly addictive

I sleep better after an alcohol-free night too. I seem to tolerate alcohol less well the older I get. I find having less, but having better quality to be working, though

Still in Italy, had a couple of nights in France on the way down, that was lovely. Will do the same on the way back. Not leaving for another week, though, hurrah. I shall be the size of a house by then! (see above )

My paternal side of the family emigrated here circa the late 1600’s so there’s a fair dash or the British gene pool. But I’m Scot-Irish so we’re the rabble rousers you were probably happiest to see departing on the sailing boats headed this way.

Actually yes, now that you ask their is an official tartan. At one time I owned a Tam o' shanter cap with said plaid on it.

I've actually worn a kilt before on a dare...it wasn't a very good one but it was a kilt. The more proper ones that are made with the correct materials are well over $500.00 US dollars. That's not counting the rest of the outfit. If everything goes well this summer I plan on making a Sgian-dubh, which is the dagger you were referring to. If I do I'll post a picture.
And the right set of hands slipping up a kilt would most assuredly cause some temperatures to rise.

It was all fabulous til I fell and twisted my knee, argghh. First time I've ever lost skiing time to an injury, I think. Anyway, the scenery was still beautiful, the wine lovely, the food divine
