I'm going with Calvin Coolidge.

Feel free to substitute Prime Minister, King, Shah, Emir, Emporer, Potentate et alia as your locale dictates.

Best is more difficult to judge than favorite. I'm partial to T. Roosevelt.

I concur. The ol' knickerbocker would definitely make my short list as well. I like Coolidge's personal and governmental thriftiness.

Bill Pullman killed more illegal aliens than anyone.

I agree with those and add Grover Cleveland and James Monroe.

I can get behind Silent Cal.

Unprecedented growth and prosperity, a huge weapons treaty, major defense spending for national security, and national surplus.

Fuck, what's not to like???

Coolidge did nothing to clamp Klan behavior, he and Wilson, encouraged them. The 20s saw the rise of the Klan. Obviously it may not have mattered to you, query, but it does for me. The president sets the tone of the nation.

The best presidents in my opinion and most people would agree:

Barack Obama-he was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth yet he aspired to lead one of the most powerful nations on earth despite all obstacles. Seethe, rightists.

John F. Kennedy- transformative president. Brought a refeshing youthfulness and idealistic view to the White House. One of the first presidents to take on instilling civil rights.Hey

Franklin Roosevelt-brought on social safety nets for our most vulnerable citizens during a chaotic time.

Honorable mention: Dwight D. Eisenhower. The last great Republican president. Interstate system, expanded social security benefits, what can I say?

I'll go with John Hancock.

BUT WAIT, you shout, HE WASN'T PREZ!

Yes he was. From November 23, 1785 to May 29, 1786, JH held the office of President of the United States in Congress Assembled. He didn't have time to fuck things up. Good job!

That's a good list with good reasons.

Umm unregulated wall street leading to the worst economic depression this country has ever seen? He should have spoke more.

It's between Bob Hawk for having the world record for the fastest yard glass and Harold Holt for literally going missing after going for a swim at the beach. He's presumed drowned but there have been conspiracy theories about everything from Russian secret agents in a submarine to aliens.

Neither of them were actually very good prime ministers but they aren't any worse than the majority.

Then why not W. H. Harrison? He had even less time.

Because WH Harrison left America with John Tyler, arguably one of the most hated and useless presidents in history, described as a "poor, miserable, despised imbecile." (Note: Back in the day, imbeciles rated just above morons and idiots.)

I am convinced that they had a Hillary model made first, then tried to get away with putting a Trump mask over the skeleton. Anyway it's hilarious.
I think he must have moved as they took the tintype.

You can't really fault someone for dying. Tyler never really had a chance. He was the first VP to take office upon the death of a pres. and he might have amounted to something under different circumstances.

And, FWIW, I believe an imbecile is officially between idiot and moron on the scale of mental retardation.

He chose a lousy VP who wasn't even as pretty as Dan Quayle. To me that downgrades Harrison's political savvy.

My bad. "Idiot" --> IQ of 0–25. "Imbecile" --> IQ of 26–50. "Moron" --> IQ of 51–70. But that scale was developed after Tyler's time.

I've always been partial to the terms "mental retread", also applied to victims of electroshock and other brutal therapies, and "spad," derived from Spadra, a village east of Los Angeles hosting a large hospital for the "feeble minded." In my youth, "Fuck, look at all the spads!" did not refer to WWI warplanes.
