He says these kinds of things because he knows his base are some of the dumbest people in New York:

Communist NY Mayor De Blasio: Ricketts 'A Coward' For Shutting Down Unprofitable Gothamist. Has De Blasio Ever Heard Of Economics?

ByBEN SHAPIRO
November 3, 2017

On Friday, communist New York Mayor Bill De Blasio attacked DNAinfo and Gothamist owner Joe Ricketts for shutting down the outlets a week after employees decided it would be wise to unionize despite a complete lack of profit at the institutions.

This is insipid. The Leftist notion that “bravery” has something to do with profitability is utterly inane. Profitability springs from running a business that generates enough voluntary transactions to create a revenue stream, and spending less on that business than the revenue stream. Continuing to blow through credit in order to prop up a weak revenue stream isn’t brave, it’s counterproductive. And it’s even more counterproductive for employees, knowing that revenue is down, to attempt to raise the cost of running the business through unionization.

But De Blasio, like many on the Left, believes that basic economics should reflect an arbitrary moral code. That’s why Joe Biden has said that paying more taxes is somehow more patriotic; it’s why the Left went nuts when businesses began laying people off due to additional Obamacare costs; it’s why Democrats never seem to understand why businesses use part-time labor after minimum wage regulations hit the books. All of that is immoral and uncaring.

Except it isn’t. Numbers aren’t immoral and they aren’t uncaring. They’re just numbers. And the numbers either work or they don’t.

In WWII he would have been tried on the battlefield and shot. That was the kind of discipline it took to win the war. This judge has dealt a crippling blow to discipline in the military with this outrageous sentence.

There was a time when a dishonorable Discharge would keep you from being employed, you'd lose the right to vote, sign contracts, and leave the state of your residence at the time of enlistment. Today, instead of being ensconced on a small patch of concrete on Skid Row, he'll be held up by the left as a hero. He'll be interviewed by the MSM and asked to analyze the next war effort, and given a job in the Democratic Party. This is the legacy of the Obama administration...to rebuild the US military officer corps, fill it up with political commissars, and set it up for failure. This was a historic failure of the new military justice system.

Note: Between 1942-45 the US military carried out 141 executions and six during the post-war period; with the exception of 1 they were for murder or rape. Pvt. Eddie Slovik, however, was tried and shot for desertion.

He was tried and executed in France which was the battlefield where he deserted.

I didn't say I expected him to receive such a sentence. I said what I said to illustrate what could have happened in WWII as opposed to today in order to show the steady decline in military discipline. I think a life sentence would have been just but I would have been okay with 25 years in Leavenworth and a Dishonorable Discharge. The fact that he received zero time in prison illustrates the lack of institutional discipline in the US Army and the lack of value it places on the lives and limbs of those who sacrificed to go after him.

So I'm sure Vette will be here soon to admit and apologize for being wrong.... again.

What about sheriff joe? Your comment on how it's only Dems that are guilty of breaking the law? Still wanna stick with that too?

Well? No skipping..

Am I supposed to take seriously somebody who apparently don't know what a communist is?

Apparently, judging by the foregoing butthurt present in Lit's collective plumber's crack, there seems to be no rejoinder to De Blasio's incomprehensible stupidity. Just the hate and rage of its mangled denizens.:D

Ricketts wiped the servers that stored the archives of his employees' work, without any warning that they should obtain copies. It was a dick move, regardless of which side of the aisle anyone's on.

Not only does he not know what a communist is, but he doesn't understand that the mere fact of unionizing has nothing to do with a company's profitability.

Apparently you're going to skip being called out for being WRONG again.

Remember that the next time you proclaim how you're never wrong or called on your bullshit.

I guess somebody needs to call the Detroit automakers and tell them all those unions and their grievances will be good for business, and Detroit will be the envy of the world for all their ‘forward thinking’.. uh, hold on.. never mind!😳

You obviously didn't read what I posted, even though you quoted it.
Not really surprising though.

Nah, better we act like a bunch of ignorant hillbillies and let the companies fuck us in the ass... Like they do down there.

Nothing wrong with any of those statements, except your lie.

You were shown to be wrong.. Proclaiming otherwise does not make you right... Which is pretty much your MO.

Do you get paid to be an idiot on here? That would explain why you are so prolific at it.

Guess that explains why we're gaining in population from all the rust belt, union strangled, and tax tired escapees from 'up there'

I wasn't wrong. Slovik was executed on the battlefield he deserted on, France, which was a battlefield in WWI and WWI. He wasn't brought back here for trial and execution at home. Do fuck off. Proclaiming me wrong doesn't make it so.

They're leaving 'up there', and coming 'down here'... and the companies are leaving with them.

Look at the bright side, you're still not as bad as Maine and Rhode Island... yet.

I found this from the OP amusing.
he makes doing business in New York City ever more expensive.
For some reason he doesn't mention the fact that only 2 of the 7 sites shut down are in NYC. Apparently De Blasio has far reaching influence, even as far as Shanghai.

Nothing wrong with any of those statements, except your lie.
Nothing wrong except the statement your entire premise is based on.
In WWII he would have been tried on the battlefield and shot.
