Bergdahl

I will start......I have.

Seems quite a few folks are taking issue with Mr. Two Navy Crosses' revisionist horseshit this morning.

Also, who knew that "France" was a synonym for "battlefield"?

Bergdahl's appeals are pretty much taken care of in his favor. The "president," Donald Trump, has prejudiced the case with his rants from his position. He's shut the prosecution down.

Just a point of order that you don't have to be on the receiving end of the military justice system to understand the system.

exactly. That's what I said earlier. And for all the purported "veterans" on this board, you'd think they'd have an understanding, if not appreciation, for the UCMJ. Especially those that have run afoul of it in the past (AJ and Vetteman, for example). The UCMJ has similiarities with civilian laws, but there are certain distinct differences, and "undue command influence" is one of the big ones.

He was tried and executed in France which was the battlefield where he deserted.

So I'm sure Vette will be here soon to admit and apologize for being wrong.... again.

What about sheriff joe? Your comment on how it's only Dems that are guilty of breaking the law? Still wanna stick with that too?

JoJo din't break no laws. He was THE Law and that big Bad Judge was wrong. It was all BO's fault. And Lynch. They dun 'im in and King Don made the BooBoo all better.

So if Donald Trump shoots Bowe Bergdahl on Fifth Avenue, would he lose any supporters?

So, if Bergie wins his appeal and his lifelong taxpayer benies are reinstated, and if he and already-taxpayer-paid-for Chelsea Manning decide to get married, that means taxpayers will end-up paying for their test tube babies, too, right?

Isn't America great to its traitors!

I was once offered an Article 15 for "missing a required formation" by my freshly-commissioned ROTC butterbar (second lieutenant) company XO.

I showed him I had written permission from battalion HQ exempting me from any company formations on Tuesday and Thursday evenings so that I could attend on-post college classes. I pointed out that that permission had also been sent to company HQ.

Article 15 was dropped.

I told a Tech Sgt to fuck off. I think he was so surprised he didn't pursue it. I was tired of his crap and since I was on a second term, I was able to out process early with my HD intact.

Can you post links to this? I would like to read this evidence.

I started listening to Serial's second season but didn't get past the second podcast. I'm sure they would have addressed this, too. I think I'll give it a listen today.

Anyone who joins the killing machine is either mental or desperate for a job. What the fuck is your major malfunction private?

Good point, and keep in mind that this was a peacetime military and we have one soldier, who served with honor and distinction, who spoke out against the aggression of his conservative leaders. He is a HERO!

AP Explains: Bergdahl judge weighed complex leniency factors

Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl's brutal five years of captivity by Taliban allies carried significant weight in an Army judge's decision to spare him prison time for leaving his post in Afghanistan in 2009, legal experts said. Criticism of Bergdahl by President Donald Trump also appeared to push the judge toward leniency...

..."It's really rare for there to be this much mitigation evidence," said Eric Carpenter, a former Army lawyer who teaches law at Florida International University. "It's kind of hard to distinguish which is the one that Nance gave the most weight to. But I think the Taliban conditions were pretty onerous."...

I guess it's just unfortunate for the whackadoodles that Vette and busydummy weren't put on the stand. With their vast knowledge of everything..their testimony would have sealed the fate for Bergdahl.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

If this happens, you can thank that draft dodger Donald Trump, who queered the sentencing of Bergdahl. You Trump dupes/dopes seem to be having trouble absorbing that (along with everything else you can't seem to get your widdle lil brains around).

Not only that, but he also queered the appeal by tweeting about the sentence.

His enemy captivity was his own doing and nobody's statement to his treason should mitigate his sentence. He did that to himself as soon as he quit and walked off that base to join the enemy.
