I'm eyeballing this handsome '68 Roadrunner ragtop. Three-eighty-three, 4-speed, 3.55 sure-grip . . . I mean, what's not to love???

Home. Grazing. I was hungry but simply couldn't be arsed to bother with preparation or stopping to get something. It's like having dinner with the cats.


What is up with this week? It must be the whole end-of-the-world shit. It feels like it should be Thursday afternoon by now.


Plus, these buildings are a bit more fucked - like every other time I look at them - than we thought. I'm having to bust ass to get the last 5 tidbits done per apartment so the city will pass them. One is a test, and four are tasks. All of which should have been fucking done already. But the clowns who left it, I'm still there and they're all gone. And the city inspections. Fuck it, we'll get there.


I ordered a set of power tools from the orange box store online, to be delivered to a local store. They were promised to have arrived last Friday. I called today to ask, WTF?? They're still in transit. I think not, so I went to the store after work because I figured they were there and somebody had boneheaded it. After 60 minutes, I'm pretty fucking sure that stuff is sitting in the chief's warehouse. So I called the 800 number and got another set sent out. The guy agreed - this shit is lost. The new batch arrives next week. And here I had such good luck ordering that nailer. I guess I'll forgive them.

Knocking out a coupleof bills - early - in full - adulting . . . . :rolleyes: The PM goes back to points south today. He leaves late morning - driving. I'll likely be all alone from here out until I get this gig finished finished. Two ex intentional.


Still a slight chance of a drop or three from Maria - I met a 'cane named Maria . . . .


You know, I can own 6 vehicles at once if I can afford to and want to. Just sayin' . . . . ;)

Good morning!

Life is interesting.

Princess is at war with her photographer. First off, she got him to come to her so that she could have photos taken with her and her favorite horse. Big mistake on his part because now the tail is wagging the dog. I saw the proofs, they looked okay to me. One of them was in front of a house that one of the local doctors brought in from rural Connecticut that was disassembled and then shipped here and reassembled.

But Princess, whom I might remind you is studying media as her degree pursuit, looked at the proofs and declared that they looked like she was photoshopped into the scenes so she has demanded that he allow her to set the filters so that she will look more "natural." He is pissed as hell, he even recommended her to a modeling agency out of Chicago, but he has agreed to let her come to his workshop/studio so that she can "fix" his pictures.

May Allah have mercy on any innocent soul that she decides to marry...
 
I have no idea as to what her goals are.


What I do know is that there are two things that have fascinated her all of her life, cameras and phones. Even as a toddler, she would light up and pose for a camera, she was never shy about that like some kids are. She has spent hours upon hours watching modeling shows and practicing the techniques that she has learned from them. When we were traveling for competition, we would have to beat her to the hotel phone and unplug it because she would be all over it and early on actually managed to get to the hotel desk with whom she had some interesting conversations with.


She really was born at about the right time because now her phone and camera come packaged together.
 
I ordered another digicam. I broke the last one, and it has some auto-focusing issues anyway. I dropped a few dollars more and got (what claims to be) a better one.


I'm still vaguely annoyed at Home Depot about that fucking tool order. If you want an answer, then I guess you have to ask the proper question - to the proper person. But everyone couldn't have been more helpful-spirited. I kinda wanted to act like the customer from Hell . . . but I was thoroughly defused . . . and not all that inspired to beat up on people who didn't "do it" in the first place.


Funny how that happens.
