BAKE THAT CAKE! BIGOT

That has nothing to do with you and the burning question of what makes you a real american, which seemed in the other thread to be very important to you.

Sorry, but a business not baking a cake for a gay couple is just fucking dumb. It's not gay dollars they're paying with..Sure you wanna use that as your argument?

I'll take that last word regardless of your sarcasm.

Yes the constitution that you and many others took an oath to protect and defend demonstrates my correctness. Note the constitution doesn't have a little asterisk that says the role you play in the society entitles you to a greater say, a more important opinion or anything of the like. Nor does it have a caveat that someone exercising their rights needs the approval of anyone else.

Oddly enough it astounds me just how many people don't quite get that.

Ok, I will add one more thing.. perhaps if you'd served your country instead of letting others do it... you'd feel differently. I know I do.

ok.. that's it. :)

Fuck no I don't take a knee.

You want to be an anti-American degenerate, get mad at your money and shit where you eat in order to get your political feels some airtime?

Fine, that's your right.

But I wouldn't engage in that shit and I'm not giving my money to any of the turds that do.

Are you done now? Just checking to make sure. Ya know. Just cuz.

What makes them thugs, necessarily? Getting a college degree and making millions of dollars a year? Of a percentage, how many would you say are criminals? .0000001 perhaps?

While I hate what the players are doing, it is not against the law.. what that bakery did was.

Longstanding Colorado state law prohibits public accommodations, including businesses such as Masterpiece Cakeshop, from refusing service based on factors such as race, sex, marital status or sexual orientation. Mullins and Craig filed complaints with the Colorado Civil Rights Division (CCRD) contending that Masterpiece had violated this law. Earlier this year, the CCRD ruled that Phillips illegally discriminated against Mullins and Craig. Today’s decision from Judge Robert N. Spencer of the Colorado Office of Administrative Courts affirms that finding.

How many found guilty of serious crime? Lets see how high you can count..what is the percentage of all NFL players ever?

and then, how many of them are taking a knee now?

this is like saying all muslims suck because of the actions of a very very VERY small minority of them.

Come on...lets see your bizzydummy logic.

It's illegal for a federal official to pressure private entities to fire people. Tromp is a thug.

BTW I am a US Army veteran. When Old Glory is presented, I stand with my hand over my heart, honoring the symbol of our nation and the Constitution upon which it is based. In a protest, I would not kneel, for that implies submission to an owner or master, and that scrap of cloth is not my master. I would stand with my arm raised, fist clenched.

I do not worship flags or national hymns. I took oaths to protect and defend the Constitution, not fabric or music.

LIAR!

"i will tell you when, where and how you can protest!"

so i don't have to look at, hear or listen to what you have to say.

Way back when I was in fourth grade, there was a new girl in my class named Kay who never stood for the Pledge of Allegiance. We were genuinely curious, not angry just curious, why she didn't stand. Our teacher explained very simply that Kay was of the Quaker faith, and because of her beliefs she could not stand or recite the pledge.

Made perfect sense then, makes perfect sense now.

Second, as it currently exists, they're getting a lot of attention for their action - but not much is being said about specifically what they're attempting to accomplish. The most effective protests are those tied to a specific cause/effect, with a specific outcome. Protests in which the purpose is protest are less effective.

This is telling.

Fuck NO!

If Jon Snow won't bend the knee for the Mother of Dragons, I'll be fucked if I will for anyone or any cause! Period!

;););););)

And to top it all off, the next thing you know he is banging her silly on a ship!

those freedoms we fight for.

to those who claim superiority and threaten violence, you are the true insult to the anthem and the flag.

you did not fight for the right to to silence someone with a car. you did not fight for the right to threaten or use physical force on civilians, because you disagreed. fuck you and your threats. go look in the fucking mirror. the only disgrace brought upon the service, the flag and the anthem is yourself. stand, kneel. everyone in the arena is paying respect to someone. let them pay their respects. when they take the knee, they take it for their children. for their nieces and nephews. they take it for the dead. they take the knee for their community. that is their story, and they have every right to tell their story on that field. to deny them that is to take away their story again. you don't get to do that anymore.

he plays his game just as hard as his brother who stood, because on the field everyone is equal.

I would not take a knee. Of course, not.

Mainly because I think it is a silly, pointless manner of protest. I find it more than slightly ironic that throughout the first half of the 20th century, even social liberals seemed to tolerate a "separate but equal" racial policy among the federal and state governments. In the ensuing decades, even in the South, racist organizations like the Klan have lost enormous political power. The Klan and the Nazis are not groups whose popularity is growing. The Federal government and, the overwhelming majority of states, have laws against racial discrimination. Every state but Alabama prohibits racial discrimination in private employment. Forty-five of 50 states prohibit racial discrimination in public accommodations. This is a legislative trend that has occurred entirely within my lifetime.

But you wish to raise a clenched fist on the Olympic podium, or turn your back on the flag or take a knee and bow your head because racism still exists on the part of isolated individuals despite the level of progress that has clearly been made in racial relations throughout our history?

Okay. That is certainly your right. I try to counter racism by not manifesting it in my behavior. That seems far more purposeful to me.

And I choose to show respect for the flag during the National Anthem as an expression of my OPTIMISM for our ability to solve our MANY problems, of which racism is only one, under the system of government the founders gave us. Our will to do so is certainly in question, but that has nothing to do with the flag or the anthem.

I'm sorry, but you can't legislate racism away just as you can't legislate away crime. Murder is bad and illegal, but it still happens. Progress has been made only because people protested.

Also, you may not have noticed, but hate groups are on the rise, again.

"We are only as blind as we want to be."
