Awww Neci.

It's Bourbon. The flagship Bourbon from the "Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery' - now the Buffalo Trace distillery.

Several years ago the legend says that several barrels of Pappy was stolen from the distillery in the middle of the night. It's a small operation so those
Barrels were a big loss. Now, you can't get your hands on the stuff because the demand is so high. Some say the whole thing was a marketing stunt, even tho they did catch the guy responsible for the theft and he's sitting in prison.

Anyway, the only way to get your hands on it now is to enter a lottery. Or, if you happen to be in a liquor store when a bottle goes on the shelf. But, as soon as the one or two bottles allotted to each store is put up, it's sold. Right place at the right time kind of situation.

Interesting and interested. I know Buffalo Trace is good

What an absolutely crappy night's sleep with really bad dreams.

Try reading some stimulating smut before shut eye. Even if you don't rub one out, the last thing your brain absorbs tends to influence the direction of your dreams.

Well, works for me, anyway!

That's not a bad idea. :D

I love an El Nina winter and an El Nino summer.

They should make an app for that.

I tried that.

I dreamed that a tornado picked up the house, and when it landed it smushed hashtag. I was in a strange land. A bunch of little trolls were dancing around singing "We represent the mansplainer's guild, the mansplainer's guild."

I had to find Laurel, and it was a long trip, but I had help.

You were there, Zumi, but you were a lion! And St Peter was made out of tin! He said he welded the suit himself. And Radiohead was a scarecrow that looked like David Bowie. Well, I suppose all scarecrows look sort of like David Bowie, but whatever.

And then Fata Morgana flew down on little wings and I told her that I wanted to go home. She said "Quit whinging and go home, you cunt."

And that's when I woke up.

I dreamt that I was housesitting for St. Peter. There were dogs and a ridiculous number of toilets in his house.

That's all I remember. :)

I'm so fucking tired this morning and Lance never showed up to help me pack.

The climate has been changing for the last 4½ billion years. There are very substantial, fundamental unknowns about the earth's climate not least of which is attribution (what portion is perfectly normal and natural and what portion [if any] is anthropogenic) and climate sensitivity. Anybody who tells you otherwise is not being truthful. Those unknowns are self-evident in the inaccuracies of the computer-based forecasts produced by the climate models.

The field has been horribly politicized by unscrupulous Machiavellians and demagogues. It has also been corrupted by government funding.

The public has been badly misled by the wild exaggerations and a gullible media has been complicit in their promulgation. There has been a gargantuan waste of scarce human resources based on pseudoscience.

Climate Scientists Are Not Noble: Stop Paying Them
by Duane Thresher, Ph.D.
PhD, Earth & Environmental Sciences (climate modeling/proxies), Columbia University and NASA GISS (working for Dr. James Hansen, the father of global warming, and Dr. Gavin Schmidt).
MS, Atmospheric Science (climate modeling/tree rings/chaos), University of Arizona and NCAR.
BS, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, MIT and NASA.

...Climate scientists are so thrilled with having any power, they don't even think about the billions of poor who will suffer based merely on their opinion that carbon emissions should be drastically cut. Duh, who do they think is going to suffer the most if carbon emissions are cut? The poor. Yeah right, they are going to carbon tax the rich and give it to the poor to make up for their losses. Grow up. Robin Hood is a myth. That money will end up back in the pockets of the rich and the poor's quality of life will get worse. Real heroes those climate scientists.

And then there are the not qualified who become climate scientists. When the science bureaucrats (if you can't do real science be a science bureaucrat) decided global warming was the next big thing, there was a huge influx of money, which meant a huge influx of unqualified into climate science since there just weren't enough qualified and the money HAD to be used. Enter opportunists, carpetbaggers, the corrupt, the ignoble. Physicists and mathematicians who couldn't make it in their own fields, like James Hansen and Gavin Schmidt (who actually told me one reason he became a climate scientist was because he couldn't make it in his degree field of mathematics). People who just wanted instant success as fake heroes or showmen rather than doing years of hard slow obscure real science...

I dreamt I was getting ready for bed and a man came into my room and tried to rape me. I fought him off, but only barely. I hate fighting struggling dreams. They are always so strong and I always have trouble fighting back. I always feel clumsy and weak. A female relative came to my rescue and took me to her apartment. Barry Manilow was her neighbor. He was upset because they kept raising his rent at a faster pace than everyone else. I couldn't stay there long though as she had to go to work. So I went to a friend's place, but it wasn't a house. It was a tree fort built over an alligator swamp. A mountain lion tried to attack me but I ducked and it landed in the alligator swamp and got eaten by the alligators. She also had three dogs. One of them was running around being erratic and crazy. It ended up jumping straight into the alligator swamp and got eaten too.

Then I woke up.
