Numi's boudoir

That's pretty much what it's like in the U.K., too. :( I think it improved some after we hosted the start of the Tour de France in 2014, but we have a long way to go!

A slight menace here in the Netherlands: people texting while they cycle along not looking where they're going!

Yes! Isn't that where the word 'sabotage' comes from? Chucking your wooden shoe in a machine to break it? Having tried them, I can't believe they can be comfortable for walking, however well they're fitted, because feet flex and bend when you walk. And wooden shoes, well, they ... don't! :D

I have much sexier shoes than that at home, anyway... ;)

You are quite correct on the reported origins behind the word sabotage. If I had to wear those things all day I'd chuck them at something too. But as I understand it you use a different style of walking with them.

Continuing the theme of 'rude things on hotel walls in Europe', here's another one:

I admire hotels and restaurants that exercise artistic style in showcasing the feminine form by means of decorative art on their premises.

Hey, papadoc! I've been busy turning the pedals today. 100 kilometres!

How's your weekend going?

Hi Numi, a nice day ride that one, luggage on with you? Am envious, just spent a week fighting a chest infection and no cycling allowed ( nothing allowed one day, was so bad!) so am going to gently turn the cranks for about 16 miles - 28 km?? - today to get me back into it.

Trust HB has been looking after his duties towards all things saddle soreness??

My weekend has been very chill so far. :)

100 KM?

*Gives you a virtual massage*

Oh, that would be sooooo good... Had a day off today, so things are a little less ... stiff ;)

Are you a good masseur, papadoc? (Do you offer any extras? :D )

I love her little crochet top with the rings along the top. I guess the model must have been wearing that. I bet she looked incredibly hot.

There's a British lady porn director called Anna Span, one of her scenes I've seen has a sculptress and her female assistant cleaning up after a creative session. And then getting creative... ;) I imagine the lady in the crochet top might have inspired such creativity too...

Sadly, not much stamina for anything else afterwards! :D

Rest day today, though. Just saying.... ;)

Just saying what?

I don't understand.

I'm going to need detailed explanations. With pictures. And diagrams. And graphs!

:p

Morning. :)

(Well, not where you are, but it's the thought that counts)

Luggage, yes, but travelling pretty light. I did insist on some wisps of lace, though, some standards just have to be maintained ;) It's sooooo flat here that it's much more the bum which suffers than the legs - my legs could have done more than that 100km, but the bum said "Nooooooo!" :D I think we've done about 350-ish kilometres so far in total.

A chest infection? That sounds horrid, I hope you're getting the right meds to clear it. Low gear, high cadence, gentle run-out and then a hot bath, that's my advice. *reaches across the Channel to scrub your back*

I'm sending H for a shower and shave shortly. See how much recovered from the 100km he is...

Don't worry, I'll take extensive notes. Mentally, that is, I think my hands might be busy...

Or I could do dictation? :D

Afternoon :) Late afternoon... Nearly time for aperitif, wandering hands and seeing if that dining table is as sturdy as it looks

Hey Numi, just a quick stop-by to say that I hope your trip is living up to your expectations!

Love the different wall art, are you buying souvenirs as you go? I loved buying art in Vietnam and having it shipped home, waiting for me.

Take care out there! :rose:

Yes I am and for you of course ;)

I hope your week is going well :rose:

Dining table report: yep, sturdy...

Today's wall art:

Not sure if those are rude or not

Not a patch on the other two, I reckon. Maybe this could be a new TripAdvisor category? (Other review websites are available... ;))

Nope, those aren't the least bit rude and remind me of some pieces like them I used to own. Hopefully the dining experience was a good one.

Thanks, Tal! :rose:

It's been fantastic, I've loved it. There's even been sunshine this week, and my pedal-entanglement bruises from where I nearly fell off on a rickety bridge (and into the canal ) are fading ;)

Wow, Vietnamese art, that's a great souvenir of your trip. I've had wine shipped home before, that's fun to come home to, and bought occasional paintings to bring home, it's a lovely way to remember a holiday.

How's your Mum feeling about your upcoming holiday plans now? Things aren't getting any better 'up North' really, are they, in recent days... :(

Yes I am and for you of course ;)

I hope your week is going well :rose:

Oh good. Let's start with my stiff calves and work, ahem, 'up' from there...

I've had a lovely week, thank you, very relaxing. Only one full day's riding left :( Although that will leave more time for, er, 'riding'... :)

There were six, quite striking as a set. But no, you're right, not very rude :D

Found this lady in the 'honesty bar', though:

I like that the flower is looming over here. And looks ... vaginal...
