I should have been more clear I guess.

A. Don't do it out of the blue as a stranger. Since you talked about her being a girlfriend, I was extrapolating that I would know her already.

B. I wouldn't call her "hot." That's a cheap and lazy way to tell her she's beautiful. There are other subtle ways to decrease a possible discomfort level
