The lady whose property borders my own has offered to sell me her place in which half of her acres are on the river and the other half is across the HWY that runs along the river where she lives at present. That would increase my own acreage on the river and offer a slightly more elevated space to live full time across the road.

I want enough room to erect a steel building for toys and a decent shop which wouldn't be practical on my present acreage. If I did that I'd probably rent the place I have now.

Riverfront would be so cool.

We're right on the river here, in a way, and yet too far from it to enjoy it...

We're right on the river here, in a way, and yet too far from it to enjoy it...

I'm almost too close to it about ten yards. The good thing is I'm on the inside of a bend where water velocity is slower so when it rises in the Spring it usually floods out or erodes the bank on the other side where the banks are less in elevation than mine and water velocity is much higher. Of course, all the heavy crap gets dumped on my side which creates a point bank of rocks gravel etc.

Tonight I'm just going to relax at home and read my book (assuming Hash allows me that much free time). It's been a crazy week and I haven't had much time to keep up the home front so tomorrow will be spent doing the domestic thing. Somewhat of a double standard, now that I think about it...I'm sure some of the lovely ladies posted in here were born in 1984 and yet no one would bat an eyelash about the men dating them. Bike is home. Car is home, too. It was a bit of a trek since nobody who offered to help was actually available . . . and/or sober . . . .


So, I haven't ridden a bike in pert-near 40 years, and it was an adventure. The last ike I rode probably about 100 pounds-feet less torque. This thing is a torque monster. You can be going too few revs in the wrong gear and simply twist the throttle. Heh!!! But it took a few reps to get comfortable with starting and stopping. I feel a bit like a 9/11 hijacker - I can fly the bitch (and it will fly) but I'm not too clear on take-off or l
