Recently, there were discussions on the GB around the following matters:

To many (myself included) the Political Board comes across as having a high quality of threads or posters. But being mostly Liberal, it lacks the debates or continuous challenge of one's opinions, that would move them from good to exciting.

On the other hand, the GB often looks like a circus in which several leftists keep trying to "unmask or hunt "the racists", instead of being interested in any debate. Never-mind the attack alts and trolls.

If good liberal posters like yourselves would post from time to time on the GB, they would likely redress the imbalance.

The problem is getting into the pissing matches with botanyboy or Peewhatever and the 73 threads that pop up weekly. That's why, for myself, I try to stick in the politics board subsection where I don't feel like having to take a metaphorical shower after digging through some of the threads.

And just FYI they aren't liberals, well....not anymore liberal than Republicans are conservative.

The vast vast majority are socialist democrats, and most of them are "social" (racial/gender) justice Democrats, socialist democrats who have definitively gone racist or sexist.

Two years ago there were quite a few liberals who carried out great conversations without calling people "racists" at the drop of a hat, over the most stupid things or whenever one disagreed with them.

Unfortunately, it seems nowadays like those are getting more and more rare on the GB.
Either they are avoiding the GB, or are drowned by the noise created by all the trolls, attack alts and racists hunting Leftists.

It would be great if the GB became more balanced.
I, for one would like to pay attention to more points of view, not just. those of conservative posters.

I don't think the Political forum is dominated by liberals. I'd say is was about an even split. About two thirds of the threads currently on page one were posted to provoke anyone who wasn't a Trumpette Neaderthral.

I've never looked at the GB before so I just did. Uhh, this board is a haven of sanity and courteous discussion compared to that one. I humbly apologize if I was ever rude to anyone here coz jeez, I'd hate to see this board go that way.

Every time I habe tried an alt, I fuck it up because I can't keep my accounts straight. I just don't have the patience to manually log in every time. But I would totally do it if I could. I've tried many times. I suck.

All I really enjoy is gaming. So, it's pretty easy to spot me. I had a fresh new alt one time (Yasuo) and Tiamo sent me a PM and said "Hey Chris." No kidding. She was on point, that one.

The GB is fast and freewheeling. You have to have good control of your temper AND know your schtick to play there. Otherwise the alts will destroy your mind. The good part is that you can discuss some really esoteric stuff for the most part. The bad part is that you have to put up with idiots who post nothing but nonsense as fact. And the trolls. The ignore function works for me to help control that. Too bad it doesn't work when I'm in lurk mode and not logged in.

This forum I find a bit too one-sided. Too many socialist viewpoints with very little to support the stated positions other than propaganda. There may be an equal number of viewpoints on both sides, but the general feel is that it is too liberal and any debate will not alter the overall view. One need only to view the topics on page 1 to see that the general view is one of hate and distrust for the current political swing. Who wants to jump into that fake news filled minefield?

This is not only the case for posts against Trump, but for a lot of other Political Board topics as well. Such as guns and health care. The liberals only see what they want to see and drown out opposing viewpoints with a mob mentality.

I'm always looking for an honest discussion of issues. It seems nearly impossible to accomplish that with anyone who identifies as a conservative. Exchanging messages with someone who is arguing alt facts is tiresome after a few posts.

Or better yet, gay people have established that you cannot chose your sexuality. But Liberals argue that you can choose your gender and if somebody refuses to have a relationship with you based on your choice of gender, they are transphobic.

Exactly, I see a bunch of right wingers on here just as much as the left wingers. For every left wing post, comes a butthurt response from a right winger.

Nothing but a bunch of Trump ass kissing posts and Obama bashing threads dominating on this forum. It's like they have to attack Obama to deflect from the rubbish of this man in office. We all know the world and the vast majority of Americans have high regards for Obama.

If they don't like certain posters, they can just stop the whining and put em on Ignore. Everyone is not going to share the same opinions or experiences. But they damn well love the drama of whining about liberals.

A lot of those who posted here seemed positively biased towards their preferred political party. (myself included).
When in fact both GB political parties are often equally rude towards each other.

As far as I'm concerned:
As a more 'conservative' poster, it would be disingenuous to gloss over the fact that two particular GB posters openly make statements in the line of "nigger this and nigger that".

In saying that, my negative bias towards GB leftists (not to be confused with liberals) is related to the following mentality:
"If you are a troll' and a 'racist' you deserve to be stalked or trolled with all sorts of bizarre stuff. Our 'SJW's' are simply doing a public service, and we will keep supporting them indirectly."

Never mind that they redefined the meaning of the term racist, and the bar is now set so low that anyone who criticizes neoliberal globalization, or doesn't share their contradictory worldview is accused of being "a racist".
Ironically, none of the 'SJW''s ever stalk and troll the two posters mentioned by myself above the line . .

Agree or disagree with their views, but the level of discussions and standards in this forum can't be compared with what's happening in the GB.
If the liberals who post here would start posting in the GB too from time to time , maybe they might help change the GB culture?

The problem with YOUR source is that is monotone. 1 source regurgitated ad nauseum. The words they use are even exactly the same.

Another point I'd like to make is that when you look at ANYTHING under a microscope you can find flaws. Your sources uses an electron level microscope when it comes to Trump. And then skews the results from there trying to conflate whatever mole hill they find into a nuclear event.

Take the recent "body slam" outrage. Doesn't anyone but me think this was a parody? Yet all we got was "OMG he's advocating violence against the media! Guards, help quick!"

So, your outlook on life colors your view of people based on what they choose to believe rather than what you WANT them to believe? To the point that you have to insult them to make you feel better and more superior?

Somehow I just don't think the problem here is on the outside of your head.

But, rather than go down that path, let's talk sewer rats.

Trump may be a sewer rat, but he's a VERY GOOD sewer rat. He makes money. He's successful. He has a great family. He's well liked. He was even well liked by a majority of powerful DEMOCRATS, before he ran for office as a Republican.

But, now he's reviled and you call him a sewer rat. And then you label anyone who wants to see him succeed on behalf of the country a sewer rat too.

If being a sewer rat means I can be as successful as Trump is both in business and at home; I'll take the praise, bow to the audience, and cash the check.

Bankruptcy: TRUMP has never declared personal bankruptcy. So any claims HE shafted his business suppliers is bogus and an attempt to falsely accuse him of being crooked. GM filed for bankruptcy and I don't hear ANYONE claiming they're crooked or that they shafted their suppliers. Don't go double standard when it comes to Trump just because you don't like him.

Multiple marriages: Elizabeth Taylor married 8 times. NEVER has she been called a sewer rat for it. Nor has it even been inferred.
