I watched a few minutes of the NBC coverage the other nite...the american broadcasters are loud.

I flipped back and forth for a minute or two.... it was hilarious.

Ours are quiet and churchlike.

Soft voice... flip... yelling guy.... flip...funny as hell.

Are they trying to make it feel like a football game? Big contrast, if you can get The CBC for a game you should try it.

The guy says he rode 7,475 miles last year; he says he rides 50 miles a day every day of the week. He's a nice fellow. Expatriate West Country Brit who's known up and down the trail and has convos with a whole host of folks along the way. The sonofabitch picks up snakes on the trail and moves 'em into the brush. Be my guest; I ain't gettin' anywhere near the motherfuckers. He made the first 21.8 miles of my yesterday's 81.8 miles go very quickly and pleasantly.
