There was an outing thread re Connie the Trannie being behind the attack alts, Ann started it, but many agreed.
And coincidently, I also sent an pm to Rob telling him that he's a repulsive coward for hiding behind alts. After rece8ving some dubious pm's from one of his alts.

So voila. He went into an alt- making frenzy (Hastags, KoalaBeer etc. etc), no idea what he's trying to prove.

I find that interpersonal human relations have some of the highest paying dividends in the long run. Depending of course on some wise choices in who one has interpersonal relations with, they can be most rewarding.

That was a big thing for me when I was sorting through all of this religious horse puckery. I have always found it highly convenient how much their god looks and acts like humanity and humanity is apparently made in the image of this god... yet when one looks at the various assortment of human traits, it makes for a very inconsistent god. As we see in the literature over time. If I were to classify myself I'd say I am a "geeky spiritualist". Science and nature at the core with an understanding of interconnection.

I'm in a red state. I voted for HRC and would do it again. Granted, she wouldn't have guaranteed easy sailing by any means - especially if republicans retained power in the senate. But it would have been a more stable continuity. My hope is that Donald doesn't do too much damage and if he does, it wakes people up to their responsibilities. I have lofty ambitions.

Today was exactly how pool practice should go. It was frankly awesome. Good breaks. Four, five and six ball runs. Cross the pockets straight down the line. Long banks, side banks, corner banks all in line. Even some cue of the rail banks. Cross corner... bah. Rome wasn't built in a day. But it was a damn good day and the pool tables were all sexy for being refelted. Nothing quite like the glide of new felt on the pool table. It was a good day.

Indeed. I'm interested in lots of things, but people always seem the most...lasting. it's much easier to lose interest in, say, Icelandic verbs.

That's more or less my path as well. I find that when I look into a religion, I'm drawn to the intersection with other spiritual paths. Poking holes and pointing out inconsistencies got too easy, and it feels mean anyway. I only start doing that when there's rank hypocrisy or an attempt to force me to comply. I like your last sentence there...I always used to say, sort of jokingly, when people asked my religion, that I was a "sort of zen druid." Three or four years ago, I found a book called Zen Druidry and it got me looking deeper. My particular flavor runs heavy on the geek and not so much on the woo anf shamanism stuff.

One good thing that could possibly result from yhis dumpster fire is yhat people will start paying attention. I'm not too hopeful. I mean, you can look around this board and see people who presumably can read blindly defending Trump's every move. I just hope he doesn't do irreparable harm.

Well, to be fair, people tend to be far more interactive than Icelandic verbs. Even as much as I cherish my personal space, quality interactions with well chosen individuals can touch us in ways that last for years, even for the remainder of our lives. As interesting as Icelandic verbs can be, I don't think they can quite do that.

In my explorations, I looked at the druids and took in some of their tenets - even if I may describe them differently now than when I looked at them so many decades ago. I find the term zen druid very interesting - especially in regards to the druid's beliefs in and around the soul.

When I reached the surety of my beliefs, I no longer felt the need to poke holes in dogma. I do wish to avoid the effects of their zealotry. Something that is becoming increasingly difficult as of late. I do have hope in that more and more folks are embracing areligiousness. Now if we can do away with the parental concept for a godhead, we might be getting somewhere. A girl can dream, eh? The basis for our world is physics, chemistry and biology. I guess one could say that is my trinity. Ha. Beats a maudlin display on a cross.

My hope is that he doesn't have to do irreparable harm in order for people to wake up. Quite honestly. However I do not believe I will get that wish unfortunately. I hope I am wrong.

That intersection is what I notice as well. The fact that certain things pop up almost universally from one phase to another seems pretty remarkable. Some of it one can easily explained by just basic human drives and emotions being fulfilled and met. Some of it less so.

My view is if some all-powerful being as tossing swords into the water to determine monarchy he is probably speaking with and building experiences with other groups in ways compatible with their language and culture.

I can't see such a being having one particular preference in what constitutes civilization over another.

True, dat. It might be the interactiveness of people. I recently attended a "bird language intensive" and was reminded of how much there is to learn just about my back yard. This is zen druidry, as I see it. Sitting and listening, looking. Yeah, the soul...the idea of reincarnation. It seems as simple as "where does the energy go?" I don't think much about souls or spirits, but I do like one concept: "deity" refers to "any force of nature I cannot afford not to respect." No worship, no anthropomorphizing. I love the idea of physics, chemistry and biology as a trinity! I'll be toying with that in the back of my mind. For a few years I've worn a little brass compass on a chain, as a symbol of the interface with nature, the idea that the Earth's electromagnetic field is there to guide us. Connection. I kinda wish I could sense it without the technology, but then again technology is the hallmark of our species, so it kinda fits. I once met an exotic dancer who had the equations for gravity tattooed on one bicep and a free body diagram on the other. I really liked that idea...she was getting a master's in physics.

The harm he's most likely to do that can't be fixed is environmental. Opening national parks for development, that sort of thing. He'll be fought very aggressively at every step over that by people who have beennin the game much longer than he has.

I would thunk that by now, obvious is obvious for anyone that remotely cares. after several months of completely disregarding you I only thought it amusing to point out that you outed yourself as fake miles. This stuff lately is just new layers of the same routine.

I can see why you feel this will be effective. It worked when Rory was both being trolled by multiple alts and being accused of trolling himself with the alts.
