Happy Birthday Angeline!

Thank you my dear friend. We have all learned so much from each other here. It's the gift that keeps on giving!:heart::heart:

Happy birthday, Angie. All the best and many more.

Happy Birthday, many happy returns, Angie!

:rose::rose::rose:

I hope your day is as lovely as you

John Kay, Joey Ramone, Roy Orbison, Moe, Larry, and Curly, The Muppets, The Muppets, The Muppets, Bono, Mick, and, of course,
Paul join me in wishing you a happy birthday, Angie.

Thank you. I love you all as you know.

Tzara, I was laughing so much at that conglomeration of wishes that my son rushed over thinking "Mom has finally lost it." :D

What does it say about me that watching those clips I identified most with The Ramones, The Three Stooges and The Muppets? (Don't answer that: it's a rhetorical question!)

I've had a lovely day. It started with the Beatles, Dylan and a long gossip session with my daughter, then later samosas and strawberry ice cream (among other delights), and now I believe it's time for a jazz nightcap. :)

Teacher

you showed me the turn of words
of phrases aligning to
say more with.....
and that when the sun is a pineapple
or the sun is butter
or when
dancing flamingos
describe a picture without
telling a reader what you mean
how to see the world between the fragments
of what is, or is not said

mentor

I asked for help
you took my words and
sculpted
clipped and trimmed
punctuated
and advised
and I the gleeful student
tried to be a prized pupil you could be proud of
engaging in hyperbole and
excitement when the gears ground
and
you helped tease fourth
those moment of understanding
of unlocking
and walking through doors
that are ceilings

friend

you listened when I
spoke and answered
with kindness
a smile
a laugh
showed me jazz and passion
for words
encouraged when I didn't think I could
and spoke when I needed to hear

peer

you acknowledged that
what I have learnt
how I have shaped
what I say
is worthy of being read

and so
I celebrate the all of you
that has been so much to me

and of all the writers that have
danced through these
threads
flirted and bled their ink
I'm glad that you are still here
and still creating

That's beautiful Tods. Our friendship has enriched us both. Thank you.

if wishes were horses
you could look out your window
and see a proud, wild herd
shaking out manes and tails
banners beneath sun and storm cloud
each ready to snuffle at your hand
for apples or wild carrot
and to blow sweet hay-breath
'cross your face

happy birthday, angelinadreamer :heart::kiss::rose:

Lovely. I would like that. Thank you dear poet.:kiss::heart:

PS Eagleyez had a very funny story from when he was around 19 and was hitchhiking to Montana to visit friends. He laid his sleeping bag down by a fence and was awakened by what he thought was someone kissing him. He opened his eyes and saw a gigantic horse face in his. Lol. He said it scared the bejeebers outta him until he realized it was just a horse leaning over the fence to check him out. :D

what a fine time to be passing through the neighborhood

Happy Birthday, you darling Angeline Poet Chick
