Happy New Year to you all. Wishing you good health, love, peace and laughter in 2024...oh and lots of poetry!

Are you making any resolutions for the new year? I've decided to follow the philosophy of the late and funky-fabulous James Brown and resolve to:

โœ”๏ธ Get up

โœ”๏ธ Get on up

โœ”๏ธ Get on up and do my thing

โœ”๏ธ Get up offa that thing

โœ”๏ธ Get on the good foot

โœ”๏ธ Give it up and turn it loose

โœ”๏ธ Make it funky

โœ”๏ธ Not take no mess

โœ”๏ธ Stay on the scene

(0k, I'll try to write some decent poems too.)

Happy New Year!

may it be kind to y'all and bring an appreciation of all we have, all we are capable of, and a growing love of the written word.

Just my usual one to read a complete series of novels. In the past, I think I've resolved to read all of Proust's In Search of Lost Time (didn't even get all the way through Swann's Way), C.P. Snow's Strangers and Brothers (read the first volume of eleven), Zola's Les Rougon-Macquart (I think I got through three of the twenty novels, though not in the proper order). This year I think I'll resolve to (not) read all twelve of the novels in Anthony Powell's A Dance to the Music of Time.

If you like a good bet, the over/under is currently 1.5 out of 12.

Wishing you all have productive writing experiences in 2024.
