My hours have not been happy since last Friday, and I even went to a redneck event over the weekend! Then I did laundry. Meh. My summer plans tanked, now all I have to look forward to is my two jobs. *SighS*

And anne? Before you tell me to have another glass of wine, no thanks. I am allergic.

Y'all have any fun summer plans to look forward to?

I plan on spending as much time in the ocean as possible.

I like the sound of that. I miss the ocean. We have a lot of water here, but no salt water. Living across the street from the Sugar river, I hope to be spending much of my time floating and fishing....

Going camping next week, close to my hometown. I will see the ocean again! Have a ton of home improvements being done, that will suck up time.
I have two weeks off in Aug, no solid plans yet. Perhaps a road trip to Nova Scotia.
I am not allergic to wine. ;)

Hey get the ones that are alive before you catch them!

I am not the one taking pix of dead fish... but you saw the monster swimming next to it yes???? I am going to have some tasty fish fries this summer, even if I am forced to do it by myself.

You lucky lady! I always wanted to drink wine. When I double over in agony after two swallows, it is just not worth it.

Have fun at the ocean! Post pix!! in this thread even...

You were fine weren't you? I even have the feeling we were hydrating through the night on that syrupy stuff. i was green in the morning.

It was blue kinky which they stocked up on when i moved into town and now all I drink is vodka seltzer with lemon. It is not sugary at all and way less carbs. Also, refreshing and I love it. You were so NOT green! lol you were a coffee drinking mofo though!! I loved that. YaY vanilla cream!

The next night! The next night!

Yeah, I am a coffee drinking mofo. It keeps me alive! Or at least acting like I am!

OH!!!! The next night with OD and his wife? DAng those drinks were yummy... I had something with cucumber....see I really do prefer the not sickly sweet crap

No, I would say it is not worth it! It is relaxing to sip on a glass though.

I will!

I also love camping. Camp fires, our camper, seeing friends. Good stuff of summer.

We have some really good camp places. So I am excited. I am going to book another in the Lake Placid area. It is a wonderful place!

Plus shopping! I love to shop stateside while we are away.

Lake Placid? There's a (horror) movie about that!!!

My favorite part is the waves - tumbling and flipping in them. I always feel better after having a swim in the ocean.

I get that, when I open my window at night I can hear the river pouring over the dam. I am lucky for that indeed.

I have awesome plans set up. Backpacking in the Sierras. Family! Waterskiing on a Cali lake. Meeting a Lister. Helping a friend work her biz at the Salmonfest. All the usual...hiking, gardening, fishing, staying up til it gets dark. Oh right, it doesn't.

Denny

It's been nearly a year since we left Florida. So much we miss down there. But we have the Illinois river close with muddy water and Carp.
Less than 200 miles away is Lake Michigan. Sometimes those waves look like an ocean and we can drink the water.

One of our favorite hobbies is camping in the woods away from humans. Wine makes Dollies clothes fall off. But cheap domestic beer at the campfire can be relaxing.

It must be five-0'clock somewhere!

Max next month will be about 21 hrs of daylight and 3 hrs of dusk. I saw this guy in my yard yesterday.

No, I didn't. They are funny animals though. Big, hanging rats with all the babies attached.

Exactly. I have so much more respect for momma now. She would not leave without all her babies.

We gave her the weekend to excavate the shed. She probably could not get down with all the babies because we had taken all the debris from the shed. I should have thought of that and will in the future. She was still there with all 13 on Monday and I made a ladder down after two fell (they make the CRAZIEST litttle noises) and could not get moma down to them, so they could reunite. An hour later they were under the porch. I was happy with that.
