America needs a much better process for vetting, processing and backgrounding immigrants across the board and a public discussion about what that means. America needs to reform the HB-1 program and how businesses abuse it. Just look at how the Jared Kushner Estate was selling "Golden Tickets" to skip to the front of the immigration line.

Immigration is a huge and neglected issue in terms of updating our public policy from the 60's, and IMHO, it needs to be more restrictive. I believe that Islam/Muslim Fundamentalists are an existential threat to global peace. In fact, all organized religion is to some degree, but Islam at this point in history is the worst. About that I make no apology.

Also, America needs a firm and consistent public policy with respect to dealing with the illegals who have managed entry since the Reagan Amnesty and that can cannot be kicked any longer. As far as Trump is willing to deal with that reality I applaud him.

That said, Trump fucked up the implementation - about that there can be no doubt. He is stupid and reactionary and ignorant. The President clearly has unambiguous Constitutional Authority to ban entry to this country to non-citizens and yet the whole Administration is too stupid to use it properly.

So... What are the current checks carried out on those who wish to immigrate to the USA? Either as refugees or as standard immigrants?
