Certainly, this means she brought her in-laws for coffee.

Trust me, I have it on good authority from those who have visited said dwelling... there is Mountain Magic there... rather strange things happen in that "holler". :D

Pfft. I'm fine. It's their children that will suffer for their parents being lying cunts.

Well, I am glad you have your head straight about them and not let them bring you down!

People can be so blind to what kids see and hear. They grab onto more than people realize.

Parminderjeet just took a shit over in the Luxey thread. Let's see how long it takes for Hashtag46 to reply to him and claim that "Parminderjeet is actually RobDownSouth!"

also, fuck you, netflix. i said i wanted MORE bob's burgers, not less bob's burgers. ugh, after the next series of kimmy schmidt comes out i might just go back to stealing this shit.

I'm re-watching Archer from the beginning. There were many forgotten LOLs. Such a 5 star worthy show that I can only give a simple 'thumb up' to now. Fuck you, Netflix. 'middle finger up'

apparently there will be even less soon. very disappointing.

They only have two seasons now. Why are they doing this to me?

i'm beginning to think they've bought stock in hulu and this all just some long con.

Gotta make room for all that new Netflix Original content maybe? I feel like the overall quality of said content has gone downhill.

What gets me, and I understand their motive, is that the stuff streaming is very different than if you get the CD plan. The choices are better. Of course people do not want to fuss with CDs and I heard from someone who has that is that Netflix is so busy now with tons of people that they take longer to get the next CD out to you, as opposed to years ago.

I was with them when they started and all they had was the CD plan. I opted for having one CD at a time and the turnaround was VERY fast. I could receive a CD, watch it the same day and drop it in the mail the next and they following day I would have my next CD. Sometimes I would have 3-4 CDs a week.

What I would like, because I can imagine there are so many more people streaming than CD people, is if they had an option to pay higher for streaming and be able to get the same movies as with the CD program.

Maybe there's an obvious business reason and I'm obtuse for not getting it, but why does Netflix periodically remove content? It's not like they need to make space in their attic.

they're DVDs, man. fucking DVDs.

licensing agreements. they're basically just renting that shit until it's time to renegotiate.

It is not up to them when something is removed or when, let's say, another season starts. EPIX (I think they cancelled their contract with Netflix) supplied movies and it is the studios and channels that determine if and when they release it to Netflix to view. Contracts, contracts, contracts!

WTF? They got rid of seasons or episodes that were already there? That's stupid.

I am glad you had a decent turnaround. Amazon Video hasn't enticed me. I have Hulu and enjoy the flexible programs they have.

I know, WTF is up with paying rental fees on top of the yearly price?!

it is about licensing and the ever morphing streaming market...
netflix contracts outside content from producers for specific terms.
hulu is a consortium of networks and studios who have been slow at constructing their own strong streaming outlets.
amazon adopted streaming as a side business and as an enticement to bolster their 'prime' membership...

it is about revenue streams and saturation and the emerging end of cable/satellite...

content has always been the king here.
it's how tv commercials gained their taxing foothold
it's what still drives the base of the entertainment industry...

studio/producer libraries are gold...
and the studios and producers parse their access in the ways that best serve them.

that amazon, hulu and netflix have moved to being content producers
was entirely done as a hedge against the fickle nature and practices of their various content suppliers...

which... understandably enough, has morphed even their core businesses
from being distributors
to being content producers... owning the gold...

just how well each produces
and just how the various old school studios/producers
eventually attack the streaming distribution of their own content
will be the face of the entertainment future...

currently, the writers guild of america is poised to strike against producers
to garner a better slice of the streaming (and so called 'new media') pie.

the exodus from cable/satellite is well documented...
at points last year, cable cutting was averaging 4 million households a month
from a high of somewhere around 110 million households connected in 2012/2013

streaming and choice are the new paradigm.

lotta gold to be had...
lotta jockeying around to its distribution...
lotta 'not forever' on each streaming platform...

When I looked at the first pic I thought it was Tzatziki sauce, it looked so light.

I like hummus very garlicky.

You'd want to add more garlic to this one, then. I can taste the garlic, but I wouldn't call it garlicky. This one is also heavier on tahini that any I've made before, so you might want to adjust that depending on your preference.

I haven't made hummus in a long time, so I followed the recipe. Tweaks will be made in future batches. The next will probably be by Monday. This one will be gone soon.

A friend once asked about the texture of my hummus. When I told her to skin the chickpeas, she said she didn't want to go through the effort. Always worth it, imo.

First time I've done it. Had never heard about doing it before. So glad I did.

i want to live into my 80's, if not 90's.

It's not about me, but it might as well be. It doesn't really matter. Not much of anything matters.

I'll be happy with 20 more years, in good health. Actually doing a lot more to preserve that state, recently. 😎

Man, the boats are out today. I've seen them all, pontoons, speed and fishing boats.
