Confession: I don't actually like pie. I love baking them though.

I'm waiting. Patiently. There will come a time, in the not too distant future, when I will satisfy a craving for strawberry rhubarb pie.

This year's Berkshire Hathaway Corporation proxy statement contains a proposal from "The Nebraska Peace Foundation" the owner of one (1) share of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. Class A stock (recent market value $245,850).

The Nebraska Peace Foundation has submitted the following proposal to shareholders:

BE IT RESOLVED: Shareholders require that BH divest its holdings in companies involved in the extracting,
processing, and/or burning of fossil fuels within 12 years to protect its investment portfolio from financial losses...

The crackpot dimwits of "The Nebraska Peace Foundation" apparently do not comprehend that, were the shareholders of Berkshire Hathaway to adopt that proposal, the company would be required to cease doing business and liquidate.

God dammit. Now I want pie. Make mine rhubarb.

Making biscuits and gravy. I forgot I opened the buttermilk Tuesday. Quandary. Good or bad? Smells fine. Like buttermilk. I am thinking it is already funky from the culture. I am throwing caution to the wind.

tierro broke the breadstick into pieces.
he gave bits to hector and louise.
the remaining crumbs
he tossed onto the sidewalk;
drawing in a thunder of pigeons.
louise squealed at their mayhem.
hector surrendered the last of his snacklet into the boiling mass...
tierro focused, then scribbled :inequity: into the boxes of 11 down.

A bright, warm Spring day does wonders for the sprouting seedlings in their starter pots, tree buds, and the mood and energy of people.

Goodbye Winter.

The nose knows.

I trust fermented foodstuffs a lot more than anything pasteurized. Buttermilk is supposedly still good 1 to 2 weeks after opening.

I try not to injure my family with my cooking, but you're right. Trust fermented and cultured food stuffs.
