WE’RE CONSTANTLY TOLD THAT MEN AREN’T ALLOWED TO HAVE AN OPINION ON ABORTION, so why is prenatal care something men should pay for? It can’t be because “it takes two people to make a baby,” because that would suggest that men have rights as well as responsibilities where reproduction is concerned.

For the same reason that a woman's healthcare plan covers treatment for prostate cancer.:cool:

Tee hee.

You can have any opinion you wish.

It is authority you lack. Your authority is constrained to the realm of impregnation choice. When you have a uterus then your choice will be about gestation.

Additionally if your opinion is foolish, idiotic, ignorant or based on propaganda you deserve to be and will be called out for the ignoramus you are.

Oops.

They should do DNA tests and create a national registry of men who fathered 2 or more unwanted foetuses, and ask them to have vasectomies.

This way, liberal men would think twice before engaging in -unprotected- sex with multiple partners, and conservative men would stop placing the blame on women.

High 5.

Or if they want to go about criminalizing abortions, let's just go ahead and create that national registry database for all men so that we know exactly who is responsible for the unplanned impregnation.

Vasectomies, no. Also, you didn't suggest tubal ligation for the women.

Child support, yes indeed. By garnishment if necessary.

Here's some irony for you. A man can get a vasectomy at any stage in his adult life without restrictions or insurance problems. That cannot be said for women and tubal ligation a and abortions.

The medical establishment trusts men but not women to make decisions regarding their bodies.

The choice for men is very clear - to impregnate or not. You've no authority over gestation. Sorry that you have been misled all these years.

It's not irony to compare a vasectomy to an abortion. It's just an ignorant analogy. A vasectomy would be far more comparable to a hysterectomy. Last I checked, women can get those with no problem.

And those who don't want children should consider it for the same reasons some men get the big V.

How 'bout you, sweetcakes?

You would be incorrect. Doctors - most, the overwhelming majority that is - will not perform a hysterectomy unless a woman is over 40 or has several children already. You should really do some research honey darling before you try to make blanket generalizations.

Additionally there are several reasons why a woman would seek an abortion that have nothing to do with wanting to end the pregnancy or not wanting to be a parent.

What a nonsense. It's the complete opposite. Women can get tubal ligation without costs much more often than men can get a vasectomy without costs.

Show me one (1) insurance where vasectomy is paid but tubal ligation is not.

I agree that vasectomies should absolutely be covered by all insurance companies. No questions asked. Just like they should cover hysterectomies, tubal ligation, abortions and BC. Again, no questions asked.

One interesting trend in insurance, especially if the current set of clowns get their way, is that while things like penis pumps, viagra and vasectomies are all either covered or getting increased coverage - abortion and BC are being severely legislatively restricted.

The reality is that vasectomies are cheaper (by far - up to a 15 to 1 ratio at the high end and minimum 3 to 1 on the lowest end) in every state of the union than both tubal ligation and hysterectomies. That does not excuse insurance not covering it, but that is part of the reality.

Lastly, affordability is great. Availability is what counts. Vasectomies are easily obtained, easily performed (relatively speaking) and not that expensive in comparison. In the meantime, women's health services seem to get trivialized and are always at the whim of the legislatures or our cultural mores.

I applaud every man who has ever got a vasectomy. He is doing a service to this planet and taking complete control of his reproductive destiny. A man with a vasectomy is, quite literally, an all you can eat buffet.

But the main issue is not about "impregnation choice," it's about if you have made no choice, then you have made a choice....

;)

Most won't do late term abortions either, but there is always a Tiller and a Gosnell, plus I know of at least two women who did that after two children when it takes a breeding population of 2.1 to maintain the tax base...

Do you know why women seek late term abortions?

This isn't a Rush song. This is women's healthcare. If you, as a man, do not want to deal with the consequences of an unplanned impregnation then you have several steps you may take. At no time during the gestational or birthing process is a man's life directly threatened by a fetus growing inside his uterus.
