Accepting that the court did approve the tap I don't see that working in the democrats favor. As a matter of fact this might very well undermine their efforts. The FBI has repeatedly stated, "No evidence."

As an overall observation, back when it was disclosed that Bush II was having the NSA tapping into all overseas calls the left went bat shit crazy. It was beside the fact that as long as overseas calls were concerned the president was well within his powers.

Snowden blew the whistle on exactly how intrusive the NSA had become and what did we hear from the left? Nothing. Only the country club republicans expressed outrage and not at what the NSA was doing, but they called for Snowden's head on a platter.

If the democrats can't come up with ANY hard evidence we now know that our spy and law enforcement agencies are being use for political purposes. And while the democrats are now gleefully wringing their hands in their "gotcha" moment I wonder if it has occurred to them that if a democrat administration can get away with this behavior, so can a republican administration. Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it.
