A United States of Hate Has Exploded Under Trump

It's been an extreme leftist organization for decades. Everywhere they look there's a Klansman, a Nazi, or an angry white terrorist.

So? Have they ever found one where there wasn't one? An anti-hate agenda is not left or right.

More from the SPLC:

In its post-election first study, looking at harassment and intimidation in the first 10 days after Trump’s election, the SPLC counted 867 hate incidents, some of them amounting to hate crimes, around the country. It collected information from media reports, social media, and through a #ReportHate page set up on the SPLC website, excluding incidents found to be hoaxes.

The results were disheartening.

“I have experienced discrimination in my life, but never in such a public and unashamed manner,” an Asian-American woman reported after a man told her to “go home” as she left a train station in Oakland, Calif. A black man whose apartment was vandalized with the phrase “911 nigger” said that he had “never witnessed anything like this.” A Los Angeles woman, who encountered a man who told her he was “[g]onna beat [her] pussy,” said she had been in the neighborhood “all the time and never experienced this type of language before.” Not far away, in Sunnyvale, Calif., a transgender person reported being targeted with slurs at a bar where “I’ve been a regular customer for three years — never had any issues.”

Incidents were reported in nearly every state. The largest portion (323 incidents) occurred on university campuses or in K-12 schools. The incidents were dominated by anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim incidents (together, 329), but included ones that were anti-black (187), anti-Semitic (100), anti-LGBT (95), anti-woman (40) and white nationalist (32). A small sliver of them (23) were anti-Trump, but the vast majority appeared to be celebrating his election victory.

When the SPLC first released these findings, right-wing media outlets claimed that there was no evidence that they were related to Trump or the election. But that is false. For one thing, the largest number of incidents occurred on the day after the election, and they declined fairly steadily for the nine days after that.

Later, when the SPLC updated its findings to cover the first 34 days after the election, it counted a total of 1,094 bias incidents around the nation. Importantly, it also calculated that 37% of them directly referenced either President-elect Trump, his campaign slogans, or his infamous remarks about sexual assault. Just 26 were anti-Trump, with six of those explicitly anti-white.

Particularly noteworthy in this longer period was a string of letters, describing Muslims as “Children of Satan” and a “vile and filthy people,” sent to 15 mosques and Islamic centers around the country between Nov. 23 and Dec. 2. Also during that period, there were 57 incidents of extremist posters and fliers appearing, about three-quarters of them at university campuses, where emboldened white nationalists have been hard at work since the election. Thirty-four campuses were hit.

Morris Dees, Joe Levin, Julian Bond were either communists or sympathizers. Three turds.

So what? That does not invalidate or delegitimatize the SPLC's mission or work. That's like trying to discredit the Civil Rights movement because Communists supported it.

Communists founded it. They are so yesterday. They've been after the same 12 Klansmen they keep seeing in every part of America since the 70s.

There's nothing yesterday about keeping an eye on hate groups. They still exist and more exist every year. And they've been so emboldened by Trump that their profile is higher than ever.

Only with low info types.

What are their efforts against Islamic hate groups?

And the fact that THEY feel emboldened by the perfectly lawful and responsible enforcement of immigration law by the President in no way excuses ANY unlawful activity on their part OR logically argues that the President bears any responsibility for such unlawful behavior whatsoever. In fact, he immediately and forcefully repudiated it upon his election.

But your side keeps bringing it up because.......? Guilt by broad brush association?

P.S. -- I have a question.

"Look, the process I am describing has very obvious value. It is what makes a debate informative and useful, and keeps it from degenerating into a meaningless series of unsupported and therefore pointless counter-assertions. If you assert X and I simply contradict you, well, what is the point of that? Contradiction is not disproof. But if I demand a cite and you provide one, then I am informed, and anyone else following the debate is informed, of the content of your cite (regardless of whether it actually supports your assertion). If I demand a cite and you reply with a good logical argument as to why none is necessary, we all are informed of the content of your argument. If I demand a cite and you simply fail to provide one, we all are informed that you're just talking out your ass. In any event, we all learn something. Is that not far preferable to an endless string of no-you're-the-poopyheads?"

Does that rationale hold when other people demand a cite and YOU fail to provide one?

You know.......for future reference.

No, of course not.

Of course it does. He spent the whole campaign frog-whistling to them.

What BULLSHIT!!

That's a legal/moral theory on a par with that stupid "affluenza" defense where that prick 14-year-old killed four people in a DUI crash and got off with probation.

ADULTS don't get a pass for criminal behavior based on what they THOUGHT they heard someone tell them at a fucking pep rally, and while the speaker may be justly criticized for what he said (and for the record I find MANY THINGS objectionable and unwise about what Donald Trump says) that falls short of him bearing responsibility for another person's ACTS.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

You're dead wrong on this one, Hogan. A person who encourages someone else to commit criminal acts is also committing a crime, it's called criminal solicitation. Trump's guilt here might not quite rise to that level, but it rises to a high level. He spent the past year stirring up hate and bigotry and he just doesn't care about the consequences.

I hope Trump sticks the FBI on the SPLC and shuts em down.

The SPLC is a direct threat to our democracy. WHO THE FUCK IS THE SPLC TO DECIDE WHAT BELIEFS PEOPLE CAN HAVE IN A DEMOCRACY?

Same with the ADL.

If it were me, these two groups would be shut down 5 minutes after I took the oath of office as President.

If these two groups were gone, there would be racial harmony in the country. They stir up people with made up bullshit. These groups are SCUM.

...He spent the past year stirring up hate and bigotry and he just doesn't care about the consequences.

Liberals and anti-white dumbversity racists have stirred up hate and bigotry for the past 50 years. And the SPLC and ADL have been right there in the middle of it the whole time.

They don't. They study and call attention to hate groups. They don't even try to censor them, to the contrary they give them a kind of free publicity.

There's no such thing as a "hate group." In a democracy any group that peacefully expresses its views is as equally valid as any other advocacy group. The exception is groups like the SPLC and ADL and the rest of the Ford Foundation funded scum who try to decide what groups are allowed to have an opinion and which aren't.

Not only that, the term "hate group" is ridiculous. The first time I heard the term way back in the 1980s I burst out laughing at the ridiculousness of it. Little did I know that the media and the globalist establishment intended to keep using it and it would eventually catch on with the REAL low info types who have handed their minds over to the boob tube.

All BLM wants is for blacks to be at no special risk of being killed by police officers.

There isn't a single shred of evidence to support the assumption that they are.

In fact Harvard found that cops are LESS likely to shoot a black perp over a white one and the statistics reflect this.

And that's not all they want, they want dead cops, and they want them NOW!!

They also want all of white peoples money and their property.

What's anti-white about that?

Their racial hate crimes against white people.

I'm sorry I meant "Social Justice" and "Progress".
