Yes, I know....

This question is bound to cause controversy, but long story short: I need my story taken down from Lit.
I've tried writing admin, but either they're unusually busy, or they're just ignoring me.

So, how to get them to respond?? Any thoughts, anyone?

No controversy. People pull stories for all sorts of reasons.

PM Laurel. She'll get around to it. Don't expect an immediate response; I think removing stories is probably lower on the priority list.

The usual way is to ask for deletion:

Submit the exact title of the story followed by DELETE.

Don't enter any text but put in the Notes Box "Please Delete" and if you have it the url of the story.

Deletions are low priority, usually dealt with after New Stories and Edits, so expect to wait a week.

IF you have a really urgent reason for deletion such as an embarrassing conflict with work or a partner, send a PM (Personal Message) to Laurel asking for the story to be deleted. Again, include the url link to the story.

PMs are the only effective way to communicate to the site's owners.

Thanks for the tip - I'll give it a go.

I tried before months ago, but still no response. And now it is urgent.

Thanks again!

I made the same request, via a PM, to Laurel several years ago. In the end, and after more consideration, I left the story up.

This is part of Laurel's response,

For security purposes and to make sure you (as the author) are the one making the removal request, you must follow this procedure: log into your account and create a story titled "REMOVE". In the body of the story, put the names of the submissions you wish removed along with (optionally) the reason for their removal.

If you want all of your work removed, you can write "DELETE ALL" in one form rather than listing every submission.

If you want all of one series removed, you can write "DELETE [SERIESNAME]" in one form rather than listing every submission.

Story removals are usually done within 4-7 days.

Same here. I made my request about two months ago and the stories are still up.
