Cats are like that.

Lazy-ass fur balls! I we spill something or drop food, the dachshunds are right there on cleanup detail.

We decided to start almost at the beginning, with Ford’s original mass-market engine, delivered in almost 16 million units of the Model T. Between its introduction in 1908 and the end of production in 1927, the basic engine in the Model T hardly changed at all, and it continued to be used in a wide variety of applications after Ford moved on. Millions of Model T engines are still running today, about 100 years later.

*chuckle*

Mulatto cat...

I wasn't so sure he was going to work out, but after that black cat went next door to live, he really came out of his shell, so to speak.

A great design. Interesting article.

Thanks, Wat.

The model T continues to be a fascinating car in so many respects.

And there are still a lot of them left even today.

Maybe I should dredge up my Ford thread . . . .

Happy Saturday!!!

We haz rain. It's water and not ice. We'll happily take water over ice.

And we haz coffee. There be things to do later, and being awake would certainly help.

The world can hold its horses for a few minutes first.

This woman is so beautiful it's surreal. Who the heck is she? She's like a gift that a king would give a brave knight for slaying a dragon. Or possibly the king's daughter, who he'd pimp out to a visiting king to persuade him to say yes to an agreement. The agreement would probably include sheep, wheat and barrels of monkeys, 'cause that really happens.

That, me lad, is the peerless Holly Peers. She was the love of one of our Recently Departed Posters, a fellow called Miles. Check out this thread earlier for more pictures of her, or Google her yourself. She's a comely wench, no doubt.

This is a huge pic of her, so in the interest of not busting everyone's screen, I'll just post the link:

Are you kidding me?

It was in any color I wanted it in as long as it was black!

;) ;)

But it has a nice hint of metallic flake to it when the sun hits it just right...

Model Ts didn't have no metal flake.

Actually, Packard invented that stuff. It was a mistake created when a crushed ball bearing got into the paint, and they painted two cars with it before the Deetroit auto show. Some boss saw it and liked it and said, don't repaint them. I think they may have been maroon.

THat's how I remember the story from 40+ years ago.

My ride is also black. The scratches are white and the dent is both primer and rust. So I guess it's really four-color camo . . . .

Finally a sane voice.

You know, after 38K and keeping the wimmin's out of my truck...

:)

It still has that whiff of new car smell! No drinks, no food, no nuttin'! That's how I roll...

The fake news cycle even has me terrified of returning home to KANSAS!

They are about to suffer a major ice storm!

;) ;)

Rain, turning to ice then snow later. If it clears up by morning I'm going to set up a lawn chair and watch the morning commute.

Happy Monday!!!

We get 40 and drizzle today. It's 39 now, it goes to 43, and the overnight low is 41. That's pretty much just 40.

I didn't watch a down of the NFL's divisional series this weekend.

We haz wheels at work this week. We're winding down, but there is a good bit of st000pid stuff to get knocked out.
