Insomniacs anonymous

Insomnia is an artifact of industrialized timekeeping. Humans did not evolve to sleep 7-9 hours straight, but in 3-4 hour spurts. Pre-industrial societies don't feature sleep disorders. Insomnia means your body isn't synchronized to your employer's clock. I retired decades ago and I can pretty much sleep whenever the fuck I want, constrained by unavoidable appointments (like a doctor or mechanic who wants me in early).

Hey Tol...how are you sweetie? :rose::heart:

Still suffering from insomnia too. I worked night tour for many years but I never slept well before then. Not going to blame it on the job. I've just never been a person that was tired at night. I have no idea why. I only know it's the most frustrating thing to deal with. :(

Just to add to the conversation:

I don't have problems staying up all night, as long as I have access to coffee. But where I am, I do not.

no caffeine required.... It's 1:15 a.m. and my frustration is just beginning.

I'm blaming sleep deprivation for my lack of knowledge...how in the world could you talk about insomnia anonymously?

Easily...

"Listen, my friend, totally not me, is having sleep problems. They don't know what to do because I, I mean they, can't sleep. I totally have insomnia. I mean they do..."

You need sleep doll...

Yet another good night to stay awake all night: New Year's Eve.
It so would have been worth it to have done so... if it was filled with fun & debauchery.
Which it wasn't
Oh well. At least I am getting paid Holiday Pay for last night & tonight. Can't beat that but so much, right?

Just when I thought the job couldn't keep me up and awake any more:
I have been here since 10 p.m. Friday, and I will finally get to leave at 6 a.m. Monday.

I have my sleep study tomorrow finally. Hoping and praying for any answers that will help me sleep! Soooooooooooooo tired of being a zombie. :(
