*bashes over head, stuffs into trunk and takes off*

I want to fold you up into a little paper crane and then shove you up into my :cattail:

It's my new year's resolution.

Rumoured to be a grower, not a shower.

Early days, give it a chance.

Things are already starting to look brighter! I mean this quite literally as my landlord just replaced the fuse that's required to illuminate my living room and kitchen after skulking around in two days of darkness. It blew out when I tried to plug in the space heater they loaned me after three shivery days of waiting for my wall unit to be fixed. I never thought I'd be colder in California than I was in Canada.

But don't worry - I am in the middle of the grand adventure. I think this year's oysters will hold many pearls for me, and I wish the same for others, and for the world.

Dear, sweet Laurel,

I have forgotten my Lit. password and can now only access the site via my phone, which appears to be holding said password hostage in its memory banks. Would you have a chat with it (my phone) to effect my password's unconditional release?

Many thanks,

Brian

Gosh, your landlord makes my current and last landlord look positively efficient, and responsive!

Come to think of it, what are you living in that still has fuses? My place is over 100 yrs old and has circuit breakers, so was the last place. I do have some knob and tube though, that is a story I will have to tell you some day.

A big downer post. A friend from high schools daughter became sick with cancer.
She fought 3 years, the community was behind her with fund raisers, visits, a FB page.
She just passed at the age of 13. Horrible.

That's heartwrenching. I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope your friend's family can begin to heal soon.

There was not any malevolent mist in the book.

I think the only thing Disney did right as far as the movies go was casting. I tolerated the first movie, was ambivalent towards Prince Caspian, and absolutely hated what they did with Dawn Treader.

Yeah, are talking about in the, I dont know exactly what to call it, old kings dead table

Or the voyange itself where they are stuck at sea?

I've read the series a lot more recently than seeing Dawn Treader, so I could be lost but I'm sure it was in there

I guess she is now at peace. She fought long and hard, which is unfair for a child. The grief for the parents is over whelming. In the end, the adults are left with the pain.

*reads silver gurl's post*

Many scares and close calls, concerning younglings and cancer.
No deaths, as of yet.

That is heartbreaking.

:rose:

I have experienced a child's death, that had been closely related 4 times.
My own nefehew, died at the age of 12, on the kitchen floor with a brain aneurysm.
Extreme grief
All but one marriage has stayed together afterwards.

Very sad for the family but I pray she is at peace and an angel. (Hard for me because I am not an extremely religious person )

I'm not religious at all. But 'if' there is a heaven ALL children get automatic entrance.

My very good mood came from the show I went to see tonight. Damn, the things I want to do to the bass player. And, I should say, have him do to me.

Rogue One put me in a very good mood. Bigly. Glad I waited out the initial crowds and caught the almost-empty IMAX on a snowy weekday night. I'ma try to transfer this energy properly into more positivity. :D

I was underwhelemed..I mean it was a good movie...but I felt it finally answered a Star Wars question that I never was interested in asking
