It took over a year to get hot

I dipped my toes in the LW category and posted a story there in October last year. In the early stage, it was bouncing around a score of 3. It has been climbing since, and when I checked today I noticed that it had reached the glorious 4.5 mark, earning it its status as "hot". Hooray!

Besides the self-congratulation, I thought maybe this anecdote might be useful for other authors disuaded by the low voting score in LW during the early stages.

Many of my stories posted from my alt accounts are significantly higher.

AH posters are hypocritical assheads, by and large. Laurel doesnt care, I don't care a lot. It is what it is.
