Now he has to be Presidential. It's his job now.
His speech thanking Hillary for "all she's done for our country," was well delivered.

He met with Obama and you could see the weight on his shoulders mounting as he contemplated the biggest job in the world!.

Now this.
The Democratic Party has become something both JFK and RFK would deplore—the party of war.

In fact, in all the years of the so-called War on Terror, only one potential American president has had the intelligence, the vision, the sheer sanity to see that America cannot fight the entire world at once; who sees that America’s natural and necessary allies in this fight must include the advanced and civilized nations that are most exposed and experienced in their own terror wars, and have the requisite military power and willingness to use it. Only one American candidate has pointed out how senseless it is to seek confrontation with Russia and China, at the same time that we are trying to suppress the very jihadist movements that they also are attacking.

That candidate is Donald Trump. Throughout this campaign, he has said that as president, he would quickly sit down with President Putin and seek relaxation of tensions between our nations, and possible collaboration in the fight against terrorists. On this ground alone, he marks himself as greatly superior to all his competitors, earlier in the primaries and now in the general election.

His problem will be finding enough trustworthy people with the knowledge and skill to handle all the high level detail work. People that will be prepared to make the personal sacrifices and not act in self interest.

Not just in foreign affairs but all policy areas.

You may have seen the same articles -- nobody with operational experience wants to have anything to do with Team Tromp. The machinery of gov't will be run by hacks and second-raters. Get ready for fun.

I don't think that's a problem considering the shit job they have been doing. ;)

JACK? You've been wrong all the way so far. I've been right. Go find a pee pee to suck, and let better minds handle the heavy thinking you cant do.

Mea Culpa, I 'misunderestimated' the stupidity of people in large numbers. I wanted an outsider and chose Bernie, because he was sane. Instead I had the choice of War Mongering Corporate Shill, or Orange Buffoon.

For the next two years Trump will have his own way. The Republican Establishment will ram through the 'corrective measures' to gut the EPA and the Tax laws. In 2018 the midterms will tell the tale. If the Repugs keep control of Congress then it will be a lost cause.

I voted for Nixon in '68 as he said he had a plan to end the war, and Humphrey was more war. I was lied to then and I suspect I am being lied to again. I've been reading about Trump "100 Days" plan. If Trump had run on that instead of slurs and demagoguery, I might have voted for him. Well probably not, I hate egotistical assholes.

Tromp's campaign was a spew of 80% lying BS. If this current platform is also 80% lying BS then we might not be doomed. Hope.

As for Tromp's character, how can we tell if he's actually an arrogant dipshit, or if he only plays one on Twitter? Other than his personal history, I mean.

BTW the 1968 election was my first. And I felt sick when Nixon won. I was born and grew up in his old congressional district. I felt like the sleazy bastard had stalked me all my life. (Nixon made HRC look like Mother Teresa.) The day he resigned was the day I felt I could honorably join the US military and not have to serve under a rancid criminal commander-in-chief. Fortunately I was out before Reagan took office. Oy.

Trumps character?
Think of a smarmy little cock sucker who's daddy was a Nigger hater and who couldn't even get a National Guard billet to avoid the draft honorably.

Like "W" who didn't show up after he realized that flying F-106's was taking off, switching on the auto pilot, and setting back, while ground control and the autopilot fly the plane. Then landing without bending anything, while under Ground Control Approach Radar.

I had been back from Nam two years when the 68 election was going on. That fucking Republican lied to me as much or more than LBJ had. But I was young and naive then. I have learned to be cynical of pol's of any stripe, until they have proven themselves worthy by actions, not implausible bullshit.

Trump is about to fork over at least $20 million to settle Trump University fraud suit: report

$20 Mill, a pittance for a Billionaire! :) But might be a bit of a stretch for someone who has $800 Million in debts!:D

Although Donald Trump has repeatedly said that he didn’t defraud students who paid to attend his Trump University seminars, it looks like he’s still getting ready to pay them a hefty chunk of change.

The New York Daily News reports that Trump is preparing to offer a settlement worth between $20 million and $25 million to settle the Trump University fraud case, although apparently Trump will admit no wrongdoing as part of the deal.

Although Trump had vowed to never settle the case while he was on the campaign trail, the New York Daily News’ source claims that the president-elect has done a complete 180-degree turn on the matter since winning last week.

The publication says that the Trump University settlement has been negotiated by “Trump’s lawyers, New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and the law firm that brought a class action lawsuit regarding Trump University in California.”

I think he has to apologize and at least admit he fucked up. I would prefer he spend time (2-5 years?) in jail, but that would put Silver Mike in the White House and that is really scary!

Trump's victory may lead to some positive changes as well. Check this article about his win's influence over housing prices https://tranio.com/world/news/what-trumps-victory-means-for-the-us-property-market_5219/

In a nutshell: Trump is so unpredictable that some real estate investors are now worried about American property market and hesitate to spend money there. So less investments means falling housing prices in the US which is not bad, is it?
