This is a weird one.

You have the right to kill or be killed.

Use it prudently.

Bang.

It's a strange thing, but everyone who hasn't shot themselves or someone else yet is a 'responsible gun owner looking after everyone else's safety'.

Everyone who has already done it is a dumbass and 'you can't fix stupid'.

But actually my point was that there is really no need to walk around like that. You imagine that you're James Stewart protecting your family, in reality you're a buffoon and a needless danger to everyone around.

The woman at Walmart shot herself but that was pure luck. It could easily be a child sitting in the car alongside or a member of staff collecting trolleys.

/ Yes, I'm aware that more people are killed by cars but that's a ridiculous argument. Cars are designed as far as possible to not kill anyone, not the opposite. They also have other purposes, plus there are an awful lot more.

Just because the USA has lost the war on possession of guns doesn't mean that intelligent people can't find a way to fight again.

You mean armed? Sure there is, assholes and threats can be anywhere.

Well first off General Stweart was a Chairforce POG who wouldn't know shit about gun fights.

So yea if you think you're him you're already failing.

In reality I've received and done quite well with some of the most extensive and advanced warfare schools on the planet. And used those skills in combat as well as teaching SWAT teams across M'uricuh to suck less.

So, you might consider me a buffoon and needless danger to everyone around but I'll take my chances over waiting 2hrs for the cops to show up when I need help. :D

Yes, I'm aware that more people are killed by cars but that's a ridiculous argument.

Why?

Cars are designed as far as possible to not kill anyone, not the opposite.

Irrelevant. Death is death.

They also have other purposes, plus there are an awful lot more.

So? Do things not need killing?

Maybe I should starve to death or not defend myself as not to offend your delicate sensibilities???

LOL

Just because the USA has lost the war on possession of guns doesn't mean that intelligent people can't find a way to fight again.

We haven't lost anything, and there is no war on the possession of guns.

In all or our lifetimes the USA will be completely destroyed before 2A get's tossed. :)

Intelligent people realize they lost this fight in 1789....and if it's that big of a deal to them they move to some other country.

Depends where you live. In the urban/city area's if you own a gun your either a gangbanger/criminal or a deranged, religious domestic terrorist, gun toting, bible thumping wack job. In less populated or sparse suburban areas not so much.

Why? No car manufacturer has been able to build a car which can compensate for driving while stupid. Doing X while acting stupid is responsible for most deaths which occur.

Intelligent people know that a firearm is the top of the food chain which can be owned legally. Bringing anything less than a firearm to a gun fight is not intelligent.

The second amendment is rather simple, if you want a gun you can have a gun. If you don't want one, don't buy one. Think of it just like abortion, If you want one you can have one, but if you don't want to have one you don't have to get one. See it is real simple.

The 2nd is even simpler than that.

The mother country (Britain) banned groups, mostly religious, from military service. Only Church of England devotees, not Catholics or Methodists or Baptists or other 'dissenters', could bear arms in defense of their country. The 2nd says that ALL in USA may so bear arms as members of a well-regulated militia. (The founders preferred militias to standing armies which tend to form power bases -- like our military-industrial complex, duh.)

The job of a militia is to counter invasions and suppress insurrections. Only a deliberate misreading uses the 2nd to support unrestricted gunplay.
