When Trump loses and the revolution begins, who will you kill first?
The US was started by revolutionaries. Won't another revolution be by counter-revolutionaries? Soviets always had lots to say about counter-revolutionaries. Many tyrants who emerged fro, revolutionary groups in Africa after the demise of colonialism like to jail political opponents.
How about adding how you would kill them. Usually up against the wall or strung up from lampposts as an example to others.
Would it be a revolution, counter revolution or another civil war?
Newt Gingrich would be my first choice to string up from a lamppost.
Bloody Yanks. Revolted in 1776 and have been revolting ever since.
Its been my experience that those who talk big and loud NEVER actually do anything. I'm not at all worried about an Amerikan Revolution.
I'm not sure I'd call society civilized.I know. People worry too much about the dumbest things. Though, in general, the ties that bind this fragile thing we like to call "civilized society" are extremely tenuous.
I'm not sure I'd call society civilized.
Is anyone expecting an organized revolution?
There are pockets of revolution going on right now...if you look around.
Yes, I agree. But now you have a presidential candidate from a major political party calling for revolution. I expect at least an increase of assaults on minorities as well as some organized revolutionary activities.
Aren't most revolutions started by the poor? That's already going on. They tend to be poorly organized tho.
The dum fuck nigger thugs go first.
The newspapers go 2nd.
Main stream media dies 3rd.

Although unorganized they usually work. Nothing scares the ruling classes more than thousands of peasants in revolt. The entire US armed forces are dwarfed by the population of New York city. The ruling class only makes up 1%. Add a few middle class as revolution leaders and out goes the ruling class. And with the guns in the hands of many US citizens the peasant can leave their pitchforks and scythes at home.
But, do you expect that to happen?
I just now dug out my old copy of World Atlas of Revolutions. No, most revs aren't started by the poor. The US rev was quite middle- and upper-class, led by those feeling dissed by the colonial power structure. The French and Russian revs, as many others, fed on popular resentments, but were started by more educated and organized players. The revolution needs popular support, sure, or at least not much serious popular opposition.Aren't most revolutions started by the poor? That's already going on. They tend to be poorly organized tho.
Hell no! Trump doesn't have enough support to win an election let alone the popular support to conduct a successful revolution. Best a radical Tromper can hope for is some sort of insurgency. This could lay the ground work for perhaps a revolution. I believe Heinlein says that no revolution has won in the face of a strong government. I believe you need a power vacuum to succeed.
The Moon is a Harsh Mistress is a good blueprint for revolution.
Notice in the Kansas militia incident there was an undercover FBI agent in on it. Heinlein talks about how many members of the revolution would be police agents.
Britain was involved in European affairs at the time or else it would have descended on the US and strung up a few thousand radicals as they did in Scotland in '45. Without French military aid and a few timely mistakes by British authorities the rebellion would have failed.
Most revolutions only seem to replace those at the top with new faces. Not much changes.
American revolutionists were fighting for their rights a Englishman. A British government that tried to tax without representation would have had the primary heads of government displayed over the gates of London.
No conventional army has ever beaten an unconventional one which has the support of the people.
A revolution in the US would impede the sale of new iPhones. That the citizenry will not put up with.

I don't expect Trump to lead anything. He never gets his hands dirty. However, those on the far right who want revolution have been fermenting since long before Trump decided to run for emperor.
