Let's see... BotanyBoy argues that only the government can use force against its citizens, and businesses cannot use force against the government.
SgtSpiderMan brings up Donald Trump's effort to get President Obama to produce his birth certificate.
BotanyBoy repeatedly claims that Trump didn't use force, and we go through definitions until he seems to have lost track of the topic.
One question: If members of government know how to use force and businesses do not, why should a business person be given a government position? Is a person like Donald Trump going to know what to do with the H-bombs in the B-52's?
And they say that there are no dumb questions.. .
It is called "police power" in legal terms and it has nothing to do with the necessity (usually) of using actual policemen to enforce these powers. Although the name of law enforcement -police- comes from the same semantics tree.
It isn't a question of knowledge or skill, as you suggest, but one of authority. You either have the authority to wield police power or you don't. Power such as the power of eminent domain. Trump would love to have the power of eminent domain as it happens he now has to either Persuade or bribe various officials to use their powers of eminent domain if he for example needs a city block to build something.
I used to get rather annoyed the way you use your little one-liner snarks instead of actually debating but I think you should probably stick to that, because whenever you try to flesh out an idea it reveals the depth of your reasoning capacity.
