Going on a business trip to Austin next week. Any of you litsters from that area, or have suggestions on things I should check out in my down time?

Voodoo Doughnuts....the most eclectic doughnuts in the USA. Selection varies daily. I was fortunate they were servings Bacon Doughnuts when I was there. Open 24 hrs.

Edited to add:

Bangers Sausage Haus
was fun too, outdoor shaded picnic tables and really good wurst. Justin Bieber ate here once, but don't hold that against the place.

Mozart's Coffee is a huge outdoor lakefront place on the western edge of Austin and a fantastic place to sip hot chocolate and watch the sun go down between the hills across the lake. Highly recommended. http://mozartscoffee.com/austincoffeeblog/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/cropped-Mozarts-Picture.jpg

Trip to Austin

If time, transportation, and weather permit you MUST check out Hippie Hollow, the only clothing-optional public park in the state. In the early years it was a haven for more or less open sexual activity and (less open) drug use. These days it's closely patrolled by park rangers, so obey the posted rules, wear walking shoes, and enjoy the sun.
It's also known as McGregor County Park on Lake Travis. It's on Google Maps.

If you don't mind the wait, I hear that Franklin's has the best fucking brisket on the planet. If I ever go to Austin, I'm going straight from the airport to that place.

What!? Never heard of it. Will be googling! Thanks!
