Easing into Lit one board at a time

Well, since I derailed the thread a bit, I'll put it back to the interesting stuff:

I was thinking it would be a funny thread if I posted in the perspective of "Noob mistakes to avoid, as learned the hard way by myself"

But I've learned enough here today that I'm thinking it probably wouldn't go over nearly as well as it seems in my head.

It 'tizn't??

Speaking on behalf of all Americans, we think the latter is both correct and American.

Also, ease up on them there extra aneous U' s wouldja?

Although, funny bone is more humourus if you add the U.

An added U is just plain sexy...

It is not an 'extra' U, it is a required U. Proper English does not contain extraneous Us, American English is lacking.

I find myself going back and forth between gray and grey. Americanization of Canadian English can be seen up here. Vast amounts of media and information comes across the airwaves and print up here.

When did hashtag's name become literal?

I asked Laurel to change my username (related to an offsite matter, nothing to do with my experience on Lit.)
She graciously agreed, and someone suggested hashtag. Which seemed the best choice since many people call me hashtag, hash or so on.

Interesting. Thanks.

Shame we couldn't use symbols - it reminds me of when Prince changed his name to some symbol and everyone referred to him as "the artist formerly known as Prince."

*Off to go listen to Purple Rain and sob*
