That's not the most intelligent way to dispell the female posters' impression, by jumping to the defense of a dubious poster. Check his posts over the last 11 months and notice that 80% of them were addressed to me, and the majority were disgusting and sexualized. He's on his best behavior now, but he'll eventually relapse.

The entire purpose of this thread was to learn to navigate the waters. I like it here. A lot. I'm just doing my best to play along. I know I'm stumbling, but I keep getting back up.

I'm glad to know I've not pissed you off. I was genuinely concerned about that. It does make sense when you explain it, that there are ways to ruin the experience and you've seen it before. I get that. You'll see though, I'm not like the average crowd.

True. It happened to me as well, in other settings, when some of the jokes (that would have been taken as such IRL) were misinterpreted as being with the intent to offend. And I misunderstood others plenty, too.
