You forgot to mention the datk, dark hatred.
Actually, it's not so dark. It's real bright and right out in the open.

You forgot to mention the datk, dark hatred.
The press always builds up the candidate they hope will lose to the DNC candidat until the day he clinches the GOP nomination. How is this season any different?
And please, the press gets their verbiage directly from the Clinton campaign. Any remotely negative coverage was planned for early inoculation so in typical clintonian fashion, by the general election they can ignore it as "old news" and "irrelevant."
Actually, it's not so dark. It's real bright and right out in the open.
God, the conspiracy runs deep. Are the Masons involved?
Incorrect. The Clinton campaign has decided that his is a dark, dark message filled with hate.
Clinton is a breath of fresh air, a ray of sunshine providing hope and optimism for a generation of girls as she courageously breaks through all that dark hate and misogyny and shatters the glass ceiling whilst riding her philandering husband's soiled coat-tails.
That's why every single major news outlet in the country used the word dark and hate in each of their headlines describing the convention. It's called coordinated media managment.
God, the conspiracy runs deep. Are the Masons involved?
Well it IS a dark message, filled with hate, but what I meant was that he holds it proudly up to the light. He didn't care how he was portrayed when his numbers were rising. Every time he got bad press he doubled down and climbed it like it was a ladder.
The Clinton campaign is well-organized and powerful. No doubt there. And they don't play nice at all (hell, look what the Dems did to somebody in their own party). But you can't pretend that the Republican response to her candidacy, and the endless investigations that preceded her candidacy, haven't orchestrated the media's coverage and influenced people's feelings negatively toward her. The anti-Hillary spew for her next presidential run started right after Obama beat her for the nomination the first time. There were lots of examples of it right here in this forum, and they've continued unabated til the present. You don't think Rove and Ailes were dancing alone in the Republican party back rooms, do you? They have their press credentials just as clearly stamped and are are just as effective at spinning them.
Maybe it's because they truly can't find many good things to say about their own candidate, but I don't see many Republicans saying what they like about Donald Trump. All I hear is them re-saying what he said to make it sound better, or saying instead how bad Hillary is. And that pretty much goes in this thread too, from what I've seen. I guess maybe that's the answer promised in the thread title. Have we finally come full circle?
Actually he's right. Been that way since Watergate.
It's nice to see that even for your incredible logic that you too have blind spots oh mother of my unborn child.
Ishmael
I'm sure I do have blind spots, Ish. But I'm hardly alone. I'm pointing out that both sides suck. All I hear in return is Hillary sucks.
Who is it Trump and/or the Republicans hate? ISIS? Understandable, and justifiable. Illegal immigrants? Hate is not the appropriate word to use for not wanting them in the country. Mexicans? Ridiculous. Blacks? Also ridiculous. Women? Again, ridiculous. So who do Trump and Republicans hate, exactly? Perhaps you can enlighten me.
Both sides suck. It's an embarrassment.
Actually he's right. Been that way since Watergate.

Then please explain their continuing worship of Saint Ronald, please.
I'm serious. PLEASE explain it. I just don't get it at all.![]()
At that point Que and I were talking specifically about the Trump's campaign, not Republicans in general, so don't put words in my mouth.
No doubt you'll quibble over the meaning of hate, so there really is no point in this, but how else other than hate-filled (or fear-mongering; the two being so closely related) can you describe someone who wants to banish an entire religion from immigrating while exiling millions of productive people that are already here? Someone who waggles his arms to belittle a person with a disability or deliberately lies to make a point, then doubles down on it over and over again before trying to brush it off as sarcasm? Who insults a woman by noting her behavior must be due to her bleeding? Who considers Americans who served and were prisoners of war losers?
Forget hate if you want. I'll take that back. There are actually worse descriptors I could use for him. His message is a dark one, though. I won't take that back.
No president has ever been reelected with numbers that poor.
As you can tell from posts in this forum very few people understand even the basics about economics much less how to read economic numbers and to determine what's a leading or lagging indicator and so forth but people do understand the impact that a poor economy is having on them since they are living through it.
For him to be reelected millions of people who are working less than 28 hours a week as a direct result of the restrictions directly because of Obamacare had to have voted for him, just for one example.
Anyone who is willing and able to work 40 hours a week can do so. There are plenty of jobs out there.
I see sigh faithfully listening to the talking point phrases issued by the Democratic stenographers' pool...
Dark
Evil
Bad

I'm glad you seem to be acknowledging hate is not an appropriate term to be used concerning Trump's views. I don't think he hates Islam. I certainly don't think he hates productive people. I also don't think he hates people with disabilities. The idea that he hates women, or women who bleed, or people who were prisoners of war, is simply ridiculous.
You obviously don't like some of the things Trump has said. Fine. Doesn't make him hateful. As far as the darkness of his message is concerned, I'd say there's plenty of reason to paint a dark picture of the current state of affairs. Somebody needs to wake people the fuck up. We're circling the drain, if you haven't noticed.
