Block out /format a book for print? I have someone, but they are swamped and I am trying to get some books done for a couple of large cons coming up by end of the year. I tried learning myself and....forget it:rolleyes: Kerning? Yeah...um. no.

I want to make sure to point out I am not asking for anyone to do this for free.

If anyone is interested, PM me for more details.

Help me out. Does no one sell software to do it easy peasy?

To my simple mind it seems like a saleable product. Load your mss and it formats it.

What am I missing?

They do sell templates, but you still have to know what you're doing.

Unlike you, I don't feel like doing things half ass.

Isn't that what Word does? Set the page size, margins, font size, font type and Word does the rest?

Then of course there is CreateSpace.

CS charges between $180-$380 to format:eek:

Word may be able to do the exact thing, but you need to know exactly how to set it up and if one thing in the doc is off, its a domino effect.

And if I knew how I wouldn't be asking.

I used to do technical documents. PM me please and tell me more; If I can help, I will.

Half ass is okay for building boilers and WALMART watches. I use my fine motor coordination for pussy.

Wordpress. But I don't know either. I have two projects reaching the stage where I need to think about formatting seriously (thus my silence here on Lit) to send off to an agent (I'm convinced I need one) and they're still sitting here in word...

In the UK part of the problem is that publishers and agents want documents presented in their own specific format. What is good for one is unacceptable for another.

Most give their rules for presentation on their website.
