Suit Porn Thread: The Litster Edition

(Re ties disappearing - and bumping this thread)

I rarely wear a tie day-to-day, unless its a important formal meeting - but I always keep one or two behind the door, in case I need one in a hurry. For a business meeting, or something more private...

Thank you, aussie, but I certainly didn't do it myself! :) Icy P and many others have been instrumental in filling this thread with handsomely suited Litsters.

Put the word out, ladies. The best way to get more suits in here is to let your gentleman friends know they have an admiring audience awaiting their arrival! ;)

I concur.
Nice profile pic, good blend of colours with the suit and tie, you know the three piece suit is a stylish choice, but you know we ladies want more.
Don't keep us waiting...

As an aside, and a question for the men: ties seem to be dying out in my offices... Is it a sign of things to come? Asking because, in role plays , the tie comes in handy 😊
I wear a tie most work days. Seems a little pointless wearing a formal shirt, cufflinks and all, and then not completing the ensemble...

I do not entirely concur.
There is an art to underdressing well. Not wearing a tie because you can't be bothered or you're just being lazy doesn't cut it. If you're not going to wear a tie, own it.

While a tie gives a man in a suit a chance to show some flair, project something of his taste in colour and design, and complete the standard corporate ensemble, going without a tie, if done well, can look sharp, too. Without a tie to draw the eye, the suit needs to be very well cut and tailored, and the shirt crisply pressed. In places wear a chap might be expected to wear a suit, it's a bold statement to make to wear a suit without a tie, so he needs to present confidently. If the shirt is well fitted, button it up all the way for a smart look. Leaving a button or two undone can give a more relaxed look (fitdaddy's chosen a very relaxed look:devil:), especially in a loose fitting suit, but if the chap is not well groomed, it will look like he couldn't be bothered wearing a tie, he might as well wear a t-shirt:eek:

Can we talk about scarves? I like seeing men wear scarves whether for warmth or instead of a tie. Kinkenglish, scarves can be at least as useful as a tie for things that need to be bound...

Are there any Lit gents out there who will show some scarf?

(Not you, Zach, your next pic here should be the full ensemble. What would you be doing with a scarf where you live, anyway?:))

I was wondering how long it would take you to see that the thread had been updated. :)
