YOU should take that stick out of your ass. That's why you feminazis are making a true disservice to real -moderate- feminists like myself. Because people often think that they're the same.Such a clueless dude thing to say.
So did your shouting at women from your car window class as simply a nuisance?
Go ahead and mansplain the whole 'little-lady doesn't understand real sexual harassment'. You can happily cat-call because somehow it's trivial ( to you ) and you haven't raped or sexually assaulted yet. Do you laugh along with the construction workers? Trivializing? Yup, that's a dude thing.
CONTEXT is everything. And one has to use common sense.
Personally, back home I would've pretended not to notice, yet I chuckled internally, if some teens or silly guys passing by in a car or sitting on a bench whistled if I went by. On the rare occasion I would even crack a joke back and they'd laugh too, knowing that I caught them gooffing around. My judgment told me that it was just juvenile, and they didn't intend to carry it any further.
And yup, call me stupid or easy, but I missed the whistling after I migrated. It was fun.
But I would've been put off if a creepy lewd guy did the same.
Because I'm able to tell the difference between juvenile and creepy.
And do you think that construction workers who whistle at women who pass by are all rapists in the making? As annoying as they might be, some of them might be of dubious character, but others are just asshats looking for some entertainment or just killing time.
You either had different experiences than I had, or you're living in an environment different than I did -a dangerous one-.
But there was no need for you to react in such an aggressive high-mighty way, only because I expressed an opinion that's different from yours.
And equating ONE-OFF whistling or rude comments(which are just bad behavior) with sexual HARASSMENT is bad. It makes a huge disservice to real victims of sexual assault.
