I'm new to writing erotica and looking for editor suggestions. I'll mostly be posting in the Romance section and hope to spend more time building characters than describing money shots...not to say that there won't be any money shots . Are there any suggestions of volunteer editors I should reach out to? Anyone you've had good chemistry with? Any feedback would be the tits!

I can't give you advice on an editor from the VE program. For the most part, the VE program does not work. You're better of going over to the Editor's Forum and looking for someone who's interests fit your needs.

When you post there, make sure that you have Personal Messaging (PM) turned on so you can get messages from normal users. Provide the length of your story in words and the LIt category(ies) that you think it uses.

Are you seeking an editor, so they can check for errors? Misspelled words, misplaced characters, etc. Because they are free programs online that check your work for that. If you're seeking an editor for more advanced reasons, then good thinking.

I was brand spanking new and wrote my first story in January. I made a thread in the editor's forum seeking someone to view my work, but never got a response.

I went back and checked your thread. You got a response on the forum the day after you started the thread. Of course, I don't know what response you may have gotten by PM.

You didn't respond to the offer for three days and by then you had already posted your story.

It takes some patience to find and a volunteer editor and to let them do their work. Don't blame the editors if you aren't patient.

For basic, first-level stuff, I'm tempted to agree.
However, the free programmes on line (and the spell-checkers in your WP), do not#
handle COARSE and COURSE, for example, or probably the most common one
Your and You're.
You need a good and competent reader for those.

Yes, I almost responded that on-line editing programs can lead you into potholes with fiction, but I thought it would just lead to backbiting and it was best just for folks to learn that themselves.

No PM's were sent to me. I PM'd a few who had threads offering their help, but never heard back from them. I kept in mind that an editor was offering their time free of charge, and they would probably prefer stories that were more related to their interests.
