I'll be thinking of you guys as I sit by the pool drinking raspberry ale by the pool tonight. We just got an "excessive heat warning" for Kern County. 110 on Monday, and 115 on Tuesday. 80s for the low, so the water will be hot by Tuesday night

Yesterday I found three snakes hiding out on my patio. Two of them were stuck in some bird netting. They were big gopher snakes, and it took a bit of work to get them freed from the netting. They were actually really cool.

I live in the center of snake ally, but I've only seen one poisonous snake in six years, and these three were the only ones in five years, lol.

Yeah, the first one was twice as thick, and it took both of us to cut him free, so no pictures. They were both around six feet in length. I think they were mating earlier in the month. The third one was small, and ran away quickly, lol.
