Thank you Paul......it never ceases to amze me how many big breasted women will gladly show off their bodies in the name of cosplay!:D

LMAO. You really need to go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras on the French Quarter. It's something everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.

Yes, the people watching is always great at a con, cosplayers and non-cosplayers alike. I've been to a few Anime cons over the years, though I tend to gravitate toward more comic focused cons, since my first love is graphic novels. We've got some good ones out here in this part of California.

I've been to a few comic cons, this is my first anime con. I'm finding there are literally hundreds of cons in Texas throughout the year

I believe it - I have friends here who are regulars on the west coast con circuit, so almost every weekend they're off somewhere.

And yeah, I agree Mardi Gras is something everyone should see at least once in their life.

Good morning all.....
Beastie, isn't a certain football team in Dallas full of cons also? lol

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Just one of those weekends, I guess.

Useless movie trivia: the actor that played the guy that wanted some of Alan's popcorn and RAM in TRON, also played Bill the Kid in Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure.

What's everybody up to this weekend?

My brother was going to come visit with his 3 kids, but he backed out due to stress. So that sucks.

So far I've got dog training at 5pm (making it more official so she can get used to being around more dogs and people), a movie this afternoon, and other nerdy types of fun you don't want to know about.

Girl, I'm all about the nerdy types of fun. I play video games, build computers, play D&D, and collect useless movie trivia.

Maybe we do want to know about your nerd fun. ;)

I have nothing planned today. Tried to start an update on one of my old storylines and hit a roadblock.
Just relaxing now and catching up on threads.

I wanted to talk to you last night a bit about D&D, maybe another time!

Okay... this is what I'm about to do. Spend an hour learning 3 languages. Eat breakfast. Take shower. Take dog for half hour walk to tire her out a bit. Go to a movie - Alice Through the Looking Glass. Go to the dog training. Go out for dinner and then a short stroll along a paved trail for the sunset.

Watch the second Hobbit movie. Learn more languages. Walk an hour hopefully talking to someone. Play Lotro, hit level 50 (so close). Read. Fall asleep.

That's like my day everyday though.

Oh I just learned a new game - Splendor, I've been playing it a lot! It even has an app.

*jaw drops*

I have to think of a way past this roadblock.
Besides playing chauffeur today, I feel pretty lazy compared to you. ;)

Errands here for the most part. Picking up gasoline for the lawn mower and hauling off trash. It looks like any walk I get in today is going to be on my treadmill. Other then that I'm pretty much watching the weather to see if another line of thunderstorms comes through.

I think the more I walk, the more energetic I feel. Definitely getting much more done in a day than I did when I only walked a few days a week.

Aw, we had plenty of those in Colorado lately. I don't mind, I haven't had to start my lawn sprinklers. I may have to this weekend though, Colorado gets hot and dry in the summer. The entire weekend is sunny or partly cloudy and 70's!!! Perfect time of year!

Sounds like quite the full day. Sorry about last night. I really wanted to chat.

Hello all!

I like the new avatar Paul!

Thanks Tiamo

Hi all!

I've been killing time just relaxing this morning, but I'm about to head out and meet some friends at an Art & Wine festival in a nearby town. It should be a pleasant day just spending time with friends, wandering around looking at art, eat some good food, and ease through the day. I never developed a taste for wine, so I'll leave that part to the aficionados.

We're heading to a hot day here, so I'm sure the two legged scenery at the festival will be nice. (Humming "I wish they all could be California girls...")

Once I've wrapped the festival, I'll drift back home, take a nice swim, and then settle in to binge watch this season of Orphan Black.

DarkLordFett - hahaha - that is great, it's pretty accurate as far as my brain is concerned too.
