Poor bastard won't know what's hit him if he comes to open his revamped Turnberry golf course on June 24 as planned.

If anyone here is his pal, do him a favour and tell him not to come. His supporters in Scotland can be numbered on the fingers of one hand. And both UK PM Cameron and Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon have discovered that their diaries are VERY busy round that time.

God help the USA if the ignorant bully ends up POTUS. And God help the rest of the world too.

Well, unless he imports planeloads of trumpgoons here for the event, he'll find it hard to discover anyone who gives him the time of day. Folks in South Ayrshire may be rural, but they have brains, they're literate, and 'his' Turnberry greenkeepers know a lot more about US politics than Trump does about the UK. Fuck, in a recent telly interview, he didn't even know what 'Brexit' means, and it's the biggest issue here now. And the biggest issue in Europe, which only has a population and economy two-thirds larger than the USA.

South Ayrshire ploughmen produced one of the world's greatest poets two centuries ago. To think that Trump is genetically half-Scots makes me ill...

Right now he doesn't rate a reception by any governing politician. He's just a candidate. Can't be seen to be cozying up to one side or another. Local municipality economic development officer maybe at most. Public or private course? Can he lock out bad press?
