Who's your favourite serial killer?

i kill you all in the name of monsanto and bayer.

and exxon and shell.

To be honest, I've always been partial to Jeffrey Dahmer. I can overlook the fact he was gay because he was such an interesting character. In fact, I tend to enjoy the gay serial killers more for some reason. Also, Dahmer was not generally sadistic, with a few exceptions like when he tried to "zombie-ize" a couple of victims. Generally, he just killed them so he could use their corpses for his enjoyment.

I just recently heard of a lesser known gay killer called the Butcher of Kansas City, Bob Berdella. He was active in the 1980s in Kansas City but never got the national publicity of Gacy, Dahmer, etc.

As for straights, I find Joel Rifkin kind of interesting. Also, near where I grew up there was the Bus Route killer, a black guy who rode the bus to go kill women in their homes during the day and then went back home on the bus.

And of course, the Night Stalker, just because I thought it was funny how everyone in California was having a panic attack that he was going to hit their house next and he was an AC/DC fan.

Fed law and wiki say 3 so I'm good with that. You want more you're gonna have to learn to live with disappointment.
There has been at least one attempt to formalize a definition of serial murder through legislation. In 1998, a federal law was passed by the United States Congress, titled: Protection of Children from Sexual Predator Act of 1998 (Title 18, United States Code, Chapter 51, and Section 1111). This law includes a definition of serial killings:

The term ‘serial killings’ means a series of three or more killings, not less than one of which was committed within the United States, having common characteristics such as to suggest the reasonable possibility that the crimes were committed by the same actor or actors.

Although the federal law provides a definition of serial murder, it is limited in its application. The purpose of this definition was to set forth criteria establishing when the FBI could assist local law enforcement agencies with their investigation of serial murder cases. It was not intended to be a generic definition for serial murder.
The different discussion groups at the Symposium agreed on a number of similar factors to be included in a definition. These included:

• one or more offenders
• two or more murdered victims
• incidents should be occurring in separate events, at different times
• the time period between murders separates serial murder from mass murder

In combining the various ideas put forth at the Symposium, the following definition was crafted:

Serial Murder: The unlawful killing of two or more victims by the same offender(s), in separate events.

i'd assume that a killer, having taken out 2 people over a course of time and especially if the m.o is similar, might also be anticipating killing others.

It's really hard to go through this thread and not feel the need to jerkoff.

I'm sure that's normal.

You'd assume he might be anticipating?

That's daringly definitive, for you.

When I was a schoolkid my best mate's dad was pulled in for questioning on the Yorkshire Ripper case because he had a Geordie accent and travelled up and down the country. Kinda gutted it wasn't him but I guess Michele is relieved.

I let my cereal sit too long in milk getting soggy. Does that count as being a serial cereal killer...haha👠👠👠Kant

Michele's dad would have been much sexier if he had raped and murdered a few dozen women. Instead, it turned out he was just a traveling insurance salesman. What a loser.

My vote goes to the guy in your avatar. I watched a movie about him once and got all turned on during inappropriate parts. I'm such a sicko.
