I'm grumpy this morning. I'm a reader; I need my fix.

There are hundreds of authors here...some of them very talented, but my two favourites seem to have died, or developed real lives.

I hate that.

Well after this I am sure they will rise from the dead or put any serious real life issues aside to get back here and write for free to make you happy.

This is a free site, the authors owe the readers nothing and same way other way around-although I would like to think that the readers could vote and comment more as a thank you.

So your post makes me grumpy, because the readers not giving a shit about anything but their fix has become annoying to me ever since Always wanted too left due to terminal illness and all I see is people whining about his stories and worse, going against his wishes and digging them up from somewhere and posting links to them.

Ahh LC, methinks the OP was being light hearted - acknowledging that writers have lives and all that.

You'll turn into your sky buddy if you keep taking your angry pills.

Light heardtedly...bitching.

Apparently they are 'cross' enough to start a thread to try to bait authors who most likely don't post here anyway and probably left lit completely.

And all we have here is text which does not display tone.

I'm not angry just stating the facts. The lit awards were the final straw in how apathetic and lazy and ungrateful the majority of readers here are because I think Laurel did as much as she could to push those things and the voting was open for quite some time with a pathetic turn out.

So I've gotten to where I could not care less(got that right!) what they want.

I came here to write for me, did some catering to the readers on occasions throughout the years, but won't again.

My babies, my way and when I'm good and ready, take it or leave it.

If you haven't done so already and can obtain contact with them, I'm sure they'd be thrilled to know how much you appreciated their stories whether or not they could continue them. (This is one reason why I don't like posting of never-ending series, though--from both the author and reader perspectives.)
