I have all kinds of Nikon lenses...for a 35MM SLR but haven't run a set up like yours so I don't know if they're compatible. But for what you're wanting to do then yes that lens will work. I recommend you shop around for a used lens at a pawn shop where you can inspect it.

Meh, I'm more of a think of something, pull up Amazon, and get it the next day type girl. I very rarely return something. The one I've got in my cart is just $130. I know I hardly ever used the $600 50mm I used to have, it just had a wider aperture.
 
I used to have a sweet Canon SLR way back when. I used to have some great lens for up close work (My grandmother raised orchids) and then I had some fast stuff for the drag races back when I was a bracket racer.

I can't fault that but have to say I've found some unbelievable finds on camera equipment in pawn shops. Sometimes its a hassle but sometimes you find musical instruments and accessories as well. But you need to know what things are worth to make a good deal.

I hear that! I type very very quickly and I often end up typing things I didn't mean to. Like one time when the first season of Heroes was on I posted a comment somewhere about how awesome it was. I ended up saying how much I loved Herpes.
