The one advantage to having sucky weather out on a weekend I'd much rather enjoy the outdoors is that I've reconnected with a lot of gaming friends, who turned me onto a new chat app... And I'm also cleaning the house! I'm about to clean my office bathroom, as soon as I can tear myself away from Lit.

Also, I am playing board games by myself. It looks really sad.
The other day, when you were talking about board games, I don't think anyone mentioned Risk. If they did, I missed it, but it's one of my favorite. I have the app on my phone. I play more than I like to admit.
😬

What do they have online we can play? I know they have all the with friends games, but those aren't more than 2 people.
Well, yeah...my daughter and her class were awesome!

My mom went along too, so, two of my favorite girls... that was worth it.

Oh, that's the one you were talking about yesterday? Well that's great!

I am repurchasing a Nikon 50mm lens. I once had the most expensive one but then I decided I didn't want to be a portrait photographer after all. So I sold it. Now I want to get one of the inexpensive f/1.8 versions. Tolyk? Anybody? I think I'll just get the cheapest, the "budget buster". I want a good lens for puppy and board game images, but don't think I totally need video for an extra few hundred bucks.

Are you buying the lens or the camera? If you already have a camera, what serise of Nikkon do you have?

Pardon the dumb question about the camera. I didn't realize there was a link. I'm not the expert, but I feel like one since I just went through the process of buying a telephoto lense for my wife as a Christmas gift.

I figured, after hours of searching and comparing, unless she were going to become a professional photographer, there were many lenses in the mid-range that were almost as nice as the REALLY expensive ones. I say spend a little extra money to get the features and performance you want while giving you the option to do more. You'll most likelyrics want those features soon after you buy the lens.

I sold my last business and bought absolutely everything I desired in photography, but since sold a few things since I didn't make that a career.

I have a Nikon D700 camera, with the following lenses.
Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G
Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G

I think at the time I also wanted a $14k lens to do wildlife photography but I decided not to go for it at that time, hehe.

That's the same one I saw. I found some others that were a fraction of the price.

The D700 is a very nice camera! I took a photography class in college. My professor got me a job in the darkroom. It was super sweet because, after setting everything up, I was getting paid to do my homework. I had the early shift, so I was usually in there all alone. I spent all the money I made there on black and white paper and film though. Digital photography is totally awesome. Don't get me wrong. I just feel there's an artistic element to 35mm photography that is lacking in digital photography. I'm not an absolute purest though.

I use to want to do that when I was younger. Take and develop pictures in a darkroom. I never did it though.

Oh I know there is!

But I'm a digital girl, I'm so glad I picked up photography in the digital age. I absolutely love Photoshop. I feel like I can take a bla picture of my dog and make it into something I'd put on my wall. I loved doing mountain portrait photography, it was amazingly beautiful!

I'm also glad I know how to web program, I understand the ins out outs of websites and can a site do anything I want.

Carry on you two. I'm just reading your conversation. :D I don't have any input really.

Oh I'm done, I just started a new literature thread here, but not sure it will take off. My last thread (Fitbit users check in here!) failed, lol.

Hope you're doing well this week LowPhat. :rose::rose:

As for editing, I type so fast, I have to go back and make edits a quarter of the time I post.
