Possibly. Job market here in OK is brutal right now.

Got a friend in OK who says it's the worst job market ever. A shit-ton of folks who moved to North Dakota for more fracking money have returned and there simply aren't any jobs.

When I was in Australia, probably before many Australian Lit visitors were born, I met several Anzacs who had fought at Gallipoli and on the Western Front. One was my father's friend and after a few beers he would swear about the British Commanders at Gallipoli. He had considerable respect for the Turkish soldiers he had fought despite losing two of his brothers at Gallipoli. He lost two more brothers on the Western Front.

He shouldn't have been there in WW2, but he was on the Kokoda Trail as a civilian when the supply column was attacked by the Japanese. He used a Bren gun to help fight them off. The Australian army didn't know whether to give him a medal or a court martial for being a non-combatant. He claimed that he was wearing his slouch hat so he was 'in uniform' and anyway those Jap buggers didn't give a fuck whether he was a civilian or not.

The Army didn't give him a medal or a court martial but the troops he was fighting with gave him a beer.

They don't make them like that any more.

That's a damn good story. Feels like he should've gotten a helluva lot more than a beer.

Do any of you people listen to podcasts?

I became addicted to the black tapes podcast, but it seems to have gone into some sort of hiatus (and Tanis is not that good) so I found Lore, which is awesome.

I also listen to Alice isnt Dead and any cast by Scott Siegler since he is the lord ruler.

I want more scary stories but listening to some of these casts are just painful to find a good one.

I'm amazed. Grown men on a site I look at are proudly displaying their wikiups. They're supposed to be survival shelters. But damn, they are nothing more than the shelters we made as kids playing in the woods. And, most look a whole lot less comfortable. It's just funny as hell.

I asked my best friend this question, his answer....."They cut different things."

He explained in detail what each one cuts and why you need that knife. I didn't pay attention, I got bored and merely pretended interest.
