Anything but worms! But they do help the dirt and veggies, so seeds... it's spring

Sorry but thought id just add this to your worm comments:
The other week we received ALOT of rain over a 72hr period, and i mean ALOT.
About 36hrs in i was sitting out the back watching it fall and notice there were around 8-10 ish worms that had left the sodden grass and sought refuge on the concrete pathway!! Ive never seen this before in my entire life!
They chilled out and explored the concrete for a day then disappeared back into the grass i presume(or the birds braved the rain for a snack?....).

That happens quite a bit around here in the spring. It must be that the ground is too saturated. Which tells me, you must not get a lot of rain!

Its funny though, they are in the water on the pavement, and they don't drown. Hmmm. Please don't make me google more things about worms and their breathing. One would thing their 'nostrils' would be in front like ours, but them they'd get clogged with dirt. I hate having a curious mind.

Sometimes it is refreshing to stop and take in the world around us. We miss so much in the busyness of our lives.
